Panthers Back To 2001

We're not winning more than 4 games, so I advise everybody to accept that now so it wont hurt as much

I thought we would go to the playoffs, 10-6. The losses we had thought otherwise. This isn't 04, where we had a fire leader in Jake and a great coach in Fox. Fox is a lame duck now, and him benching Matt after 2 single games showed that

I just said like last week after that benching that this team is going to explode sooner or later (Smitty). What Fox did showed a lot. He even played him AFTER an concussion. Thats not the Fox we all know. And if he has no control and just make random decisions like that, then the team will sooner or later get out of control. Only people wasn't surprised about the move was the fans and media, because yall started begging for it. It was not a good move period because Clausen is a rookie. This is NOT Vick/Kolb. Clausen is NOT Vick. Im not going to touch on Jerry, no need to

We got a lot of young talent that's not ready right now. Panthers are back to 2001. That Buc fan was right, lets keep it real. Prepare for a long and disheartening season

2001 was a better team. They could atleast score points.

Far better. We were competitive in almost every game. Which is why I never gave much credit to the turn around John Fox did here.

Was it a good job? Absolutely, but not as big as some make it out to be.

The 2001 team was also more enjoyable to watch, although far more hearbreaking cause they lost most of their games at the end of the game.

Yeah but it did build character for our team for 2002 and 2003.

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
