Why won't Fox or Hurney fire Turdo?

Why hasnt Turdo been fired yet? Is it just Fox's blind loyalty? Are Fox and Turdo lovers? Is Fox refusing Hurney's demands to fire Turdo? Is Turdo the only supplier of bubblegum to Fox? I don't get why this POS hasnt been shown the highway yet.

I want Fox gone too but it really bothers me, as a Panthers fan, why Turdo still has a job with the Panthers.

the staff had the week off. always happens after the last game of the season. no changes were going to be made until they could get back together the following week.

if trgocrap is going to get fired, it will happen within the first part of the week.

it has to happen quickly, though, if it is going to happen at all. there is a very fast pace at which coaching turnovers are taken place this year, there have been 11 HC changes so far.

if we are going to get a good replacement for trgo we have to move quickly.

just because he hasn't been fired already doesn't mean he's not going to. the staff isn't going to fly off the handle like we have a tendency to do in here. they are taking a step back and then taking a look at it. the best decisions aren't made on impulse usually.

You really think that Fox is going to fire Turdo? I don't think he will. Smart teams make moves when they know what the problems are and if Hurney and Fox don't know that Turdo is a POS then Richardson needs to really address them.

fox won't fire him. he can't that is the GMs decision.

and i believe that he will be fired. it wasn't going to happen until after the staff got back together on this coming monday, though.

there wasn't a real chance that the firing would have happened earlier.

remember henning was fired about a week after the last game of the season.

Fox has a defensive background. The defense is his. Does anyone really think Trgo does anything with the defense that Fox doesn't approve of?
he has a DC so he doesn't have to run the defense.

a HC is supposed to delegate his D to the DC. the DC hasn't been able to carry his weight very well so Fox has been distracted with the defense.

i do think that the buck stops/starts with Fox so he is ultimately responsible but he shouldn't be the one managing the defense, just managing the one managing the defense.

at any rate he shouldn't be micromanaging any part of the team. what's the point in having an OC and a DC at all if he is?

Same reason it took them so long to get rid of Dan Morgan. Blind Loyalty.

Fox hasn't fired Trgovac because it hasn't been the right time yet. I don't know when that time may be, but I know that Fox isn't blindly loyal to his staff and I also know he's a hell of a lot smarter about personnel decisions than anyone on this message board.

I think the answer to your question is that he won't fire Trgovac because doing so won't improve the team. Sure, a lot of you think it would, but that doesn't make it so. Of course, he might fire him on Monday, and it wouldn't surprise me if he did. If he doesn't though, you might want to take a second look at what Trgovac actually does and what he's supposed to do before calling for his head.

On the flip side, why would a co-ordinator want a job where the HC does their job for them?

    • This is a good story--I LOVED his dad as a person and player--I talked to him at an OTA (he was back for his second stint) and he was talking about Moore (the WR from Wake Forest) being so young.  I was with my teenage son and told him, "This is Taylor.  He and I attended the OTAs when you were in Rock Hill as a rookie."  He jokes, "Was he in diapers then?" and laughed.  I imagine Moose III was in diapers when we chatted that day.  So I really would love for this to work out.  However, his stats do not suggest he was anything special in college.
    • I guess there are signs. The combination of the turf toe, hamstring, and knee issues led to questions about his long-term health and affected his draft stock, causing him to fall to the second round.  Here is what I know about a knee injury.  It changes nearly every aspect of your lower body movement.  So the turf toe and hamstring could be related.  It makes him seem injury prone.  I guess the knee was not the most recent injury, so the others could have been a result of favoring the knee. Johnson did not run the 40 at the combine or pro day.  That suggests there is something he feels might drop his value.  So if you downplay the severity of the injury, have a history of possibly related injuries, and refuse to demonstrate (when given multiple opportunities) that you are fully recovered, don't get mad when your stock drops.
    • I saw numerous reports leading up to the draft that he'd been injury red flagged by numerous teams due to cartilage damage and wear issues that they think could shorten his career.
