No...you can't compare them because we use them differently. Right now we're using Goodson like a Woodhead, but we don't use Goodson in the slot so you don't know wtf he's capable of. Welker did punt returns at Miami and still does in NE and is quick and elusive...we use Goodwon on KO returns and he's quick and elusive. NE is capable of getting the best our of their players because they play to their individual strengths within their system. Put Goodson in NE...and he's a star.

If we could get a 1st or a 2nd w/ conditional for Smith...yes. They got only a 3rd for Moss because he's in his last year of his contract and they'd have to resign him. Smith is here for a while and the new team doesn't have to redo his contract for a while.

What he's saying is, it pisses him off that Steve Smith is the "star" of this team. A fiery wide receiver like him should never be praised as our best even though he goes out there and proves it most Sunday. Some quiet scrub should be our "star" and be the one getting all the praise here. G5Jamz thinks Clausen is as good as Brady and our organization & owner is as good as the Pats where we can start dumping our best players for peanuts.

Go back into the "trade Smitty" threads in the CP forum....and read my statements. Here...let me refresh your memory KT. I stated that more than likely it's too late to get the worth out of Smitty in a trade deal and impossible. I love Smitty. BUT if some dumbAss team is willing to give up a 1st or a 2nd for him, I'd say do it. You're more likely to get a 1st and something more for a trade for DeAngelo DESPITE the fact he's in his last year of his rookie contract. I don't think I've crowned Clausen s**t, but we're going in that direction. I will agree that our FO is completely ignorant at trading and accumulating draft picks, but that's why we try to point out stupidity before it happens.

Im not even sold this is a GREAT move for New England. Bill Belichik can be too smart for his own good sometimes. This is pure economics IMO, they dont want to pay Moss a new contract, so they're getting something for him now. BUT...this will hurt Welker's game and their offense wont be as dynamic without Moss stretching the field. Belichik also got rid of his star d lineman Seymour a few years back thinking he could be easily replaced. He hasnt had a pass rush since in New England.

This is a bad move for New England especially for this season. Anybody know how all the other receivers get so many receptions? Because Moss is double covered all the time. It's as simple as that, this offense will be much worse for the short term.

Oakland's first round pick....for a year's use of Seymour.

If you don't think that's a smart move....you can't be helped.

Same for Moss...they get a 3rd round pick for renting out Moss for the rest of the season.
