How to fix this situation and start winning games

#1) Fire John Fox now and promote Ron Meeks as interm head Coach.

- It is painfully obvious that Fox has lost the respect of this team and the fans. It would go a long way to show that something is being done about this situation and that the owners/management find that losing is unacceptable.

#2) Trade or sign for a veteran QB.

- This would not be very popular with the fans right now but we are in desperate need of some experience at QB. There would be a transition period for a few games but seriously what would we have to lose? We are losing anyway. Playing Clausen without a decent support cast is going to damage our future QB and cause problems. Not to mention flipping back and forth between Clausen and Moore has got to be demoralizing. There are limited options for QB's right now but I am sure there is some way of finding someone decent for a late round pick at this point. We should have secured a veteran before the season started.

If we could somehow achieve both of these things I think we could turn this around and start winning some games. If nothing changes we are in for a long season and even longer off season.

Play ARMANTI EDWARDS at QB and see how a true QB plays.

It was ridiculous to take Edwards out as QB after two plays, with one being just a reverse hand off that that receiver doesn't have enough speed to normally get much done.

You noticed that when he went back to pass that he didn't just throw the ball away, or try to force it into a receiver that was covered. No, he did the "Smart" thing and ran for about 9 yards.

He could have had more "glory" by throwing the ball, but he did the Right thing. There is a huge difference between someone having the ability to be a QB and someone that has the "IT" factor that normally does the right thing at the right time. It is amazing the difference between 2 QB's with the same talent, but one having the "IT" factor.

Armanti also has more talent.

Sorry but Armanti is not the answer right now, he has shown in absolutely no way that he can manage at QB. Maybe sometime in the future he could work out there but right now we need a vet that can make the passes when needed and keep the defense from blitzing every down and keeping 8 or 9 in the box.

We do not need to try another rookie at QB.

Get a vet that can handle the offense and let these young guys learn. Fox is doing nothing but damaging this team beyond repair.

You do not know that. And how did that change work out? Not so good, eh. Another rookie at QB is just what we need, but the right one, Armanti Edwards.

i dont really think that anything can be saved this season. we are pretty much screwed until after the CBA agreement. this team isnt set up to win ball games right now.

yes, it hurts, because i am a diehard fan, but i realized the day that we picked up david clowney, instead of a legitimate playmaker who could accually help this team win, that the ownership is'nt going to invest in winning ballgames until this thing blows over. and let's pray that will accually be the end of this, that we will start to rebuid when the new coach and staff gets here.

I'm pretty much just sitting back right now, and waiting to see how high our draft pick is going to be, and wondering whether or not we screw it up when that time comes.

I disagree, I think there can be changes made that can at least get us competing again because right now we look like a college level team versus a professional team.

Do I think we will have a winning season? No, but I think we can at least win a few games and not be the butt crack of the NFL this year.

Your right about the ownership, it is up to them if we win a game this year or not.

Maybe the Bobcats :D

It's time for this city to start supporting the Bobcats. They'll make playoffs again this year. Their coach cares about his team. The owner cares. They tried to make a handful of trades to better the team in the offseason, they CARE. The players play with HEART each night, regardless of who they are playing. I hope MJ realizes that THIS is the time to get new fans.

Anyway, this team is, like someone said, probably 3 years from playoffs/contending, I think. Lockout will hurt even worse. Hate me all you want, but we may want to seriously think about dealing DWill and Smith now, for some picks.

It may get even worse before it gets better folks. Get ready.
