Funny how he wanted out when delhomme was here but as soon as delhomme was out, he wanted to stay.

Or Meeks came in and gave him freedom to switch... Either way we made him happy but didnt want to keep him.

My point is, things change and as a business we should of took advantage of him wanting to stay. That IS our fault.

We offered him a contract, he didn't take it. what part of that is our fault?

Maybe the contract we offered was crap? Phillip Rivers turned down a contract San Diego offered, so the owner said he turned down a multi-million dollar contract because he was greedy. Turned out the contract was filled with impossible-to-reach bonuses (escalating bonuses for being Super Bowl MVP year after year). Don't believe anything you hear and only half of what you see.

They asked him to freestlye a little rap for them obviously he declined since he can't think that fast on his feet.

Stated that he reads whats in the press ab him and has people researc h that information for him.

Keeps up with the UNC football and the ongoing investigation.

Pep's last comments towards Panther fans- "theres not much to really say right now"

"at the end of the day I'm a NC kid, grew up here and played 8 seasons. I'm rooting for these guys this is my second team I'm really rooting for them"

this made me happy right here. wish pep was here still, but im still rooting for him in chi-town. since we obviously won't be going to a superbowl this season, I wouldnt mind at all if the Bears went and won it

or maybe it wasn't, and he just wanted out.

Was Pep not allowed to change his mind? When you have worked in a shitty work environment with some shady characters or guys that made your day miserable (Hurney, Jake, etc.), you didn't think about leaving? If those situations changed, did you think about staying? Ever change your major in college?

So why is it so impossible that Pep didn't want to be here when the contract was originally offered then when some changes were made he did want to be here? Our fan base is just very bitter and sad. The guy didn't even have to give an interview on our team's local station if he was like "f*ck them."

He obviously cares what we think about him, and he still cares about NC, FWIW. He didn't handle things the best throughout the ordeal, but the overall factor that puts this on the front office is that if they wanted him that badly as they did the year they franchised him, the offer should've still been on the table.

Instead, our inept FO didn't even franchise him and try to work out a deal with another team for compensation and we just let him walk. FAIL. If they cared about him or our fanbase, they would've sent him somewhere he wanted to go and got compensation for it. They let him walk. I don't know why this fanbase has such a problem understanding that he would want to come back but our front office packed their poo up and went on vacation until the labor issues are resolved. It's on the front office if he said he wanted to be here. So how many free agents did we sign this offseason, and how much did we spend on them? Exactly. It was all part of their plan.

All I know is, they offered him a deal, and he didn't like it, for what ever reason. To say they didn't want him, would be false, or else they wouldn't have offered him anything. Say they are cheap, fine, bc they are. But Peppers is no victim. I have ZERO hate or animosity for the guy, but I won't buy into feeling bad for him. he got his money, hes fine. Id love to be done talking about him.

f**king retarded to hate on him, why? Who really cares? He's just a player and he couldn't have helped this team become an instant winner and maybe he knew that, ever think of that? I am more mad at this year/JR/cost cutting than Peppers in fact he didn't even really enter my mind when I watched Sunday's horrific event.

yep...i miss pep, but scoring was more imporatant than his return.

Lol @ the fact he has people research what's being said about him.

I was pretty bitter when Pep first left, but I guess at this point I just see it as dude wanted out for a long time, despite the FOs pleas for him to stay. They then stopped begging him to stay, he got butt hurt that they stopped communicating with him, and the rest is history. The blame is 50/50 IMO because at the least they could have worked a sign and trade to get us a 3rd or something for him.

On a side note, did anyone notice the amount of snaps that Pep played away from Gross?I know you want to exploit weaknesses to win, but I also know to be the best you've got to beat the best, and it seemed to me Peppers wanted nothing to do with playing Gross. I'll have to go back and watch my DVR again, but I recall two plays where he played the right side that had the TE or RB lined up, and he still played that side instead of Gross' side. Short of going back and counting, I'd say it was probably 70/30 away from Gross. Just an observation.
