Organizing protest groups for things like this is silly. Do this to help underpriviledged kids or protest a war or something like that.

Don't like the product they are putting on the field, then just don't go to the games. Empty stands will affect things more than organizing silly protest groups.

In the long term or short term?

As fans, we are often guilty of only caring about the short term. Singing a big name receiver to a huge contract may have benefited ussome in t he short term, but would it have made the team better in the long term...?

It would help our young QBs tremendously.

This isn't the normal case of a team struggling while rebuilding. This is a case of an owner making a statement to help give teeth to his negotiations.

I've already stated that I'm not going to any games this year and not spending a penny towards the team. This year has also convinced me to never buy psl, something I've been thinking about for the past couple years.

The Panthers have gotten by on offense in the past with Smitty and random pieces along side. Honestly, after watching the last games of last season, I was astonished with how bad the offense was. I was expecting it to put up at least some decent points with Moore throwing to Smitty and some young blood, along with the same talented backs and O-Line returning. I also stupidly thought this would be Jarrett's year.

It has not worked out how we hoped.

While this may be 'giving some teeth to negotiations', I honestly think they thought they made the best moves for the team for the future this year. This team has always been overly optimistic about their WRs & QBs anyway....

I think they did with a focus on longer term than this year. Some folks think we should have traded the picks and paid the salary for a Boldin or Marshall. That might have got us another win or 2 this year but this team is nowhere near where that would make a difference. Longer term, we're better off with the picks and the space under the cap.

No it wouldn't. If they get away with being sloppy now, they may never correct it going forward. Like I said in the previous post, it might help a little short term, but for long term, they need to perfect their techniques now.
