Hey in his defense he got Calvin Johnson who is the best WR in the league. But he did also take Roy Williams and Mike Williams with top 10 picks... lol

:D

1 badass receiver hasn't done sh!t for that franchise. It won't here unless Green can Shang Tsung into an O-line & competent QB every play. :P

We need O-line help with r first pick.... Who says we need a WR? With no time to throw, we can't get the ball to any WR's, u can be sure we will sign a Vet QB, but I can almost guarentee we draft a OL

We're likely going to have a very high first pick in next years draft. somewhere in the top-5 range is my guess. Unless we trade down we won't take an OT because only tackles go that high and there is 0% chance we take a tackle with our first selection. Once we are all healthy, we should be fine at line. We need an impact player with our first pick. I pray that A.J. Green, Andrew Luck, or Patrick Peterson enter the draft so we have a chance at taking one ofthem.

Going for an OT with a top 3 pick next year would be like going for J Stewart when we had DWill.

We just gave away a 1st, 2nd and 4th round pick for Jeff Otah and signed Jordan gross to a mega contract.

If these weren't the right moves, as apparently Hurney thought DWill wasn't, Hurney needs to be shown the door as soon as Goodell reads the Panthers select the Offensive Tackle from..........

seeing as how williams has been healthy for only 2 of the past 5 seasons, maybe hurney knew what he was doing?

people need to come to grips that williams didn't do squat before 2008 for anyone to feel comfortable with putting all their eggs in one basket...and stewart wasn't drafted as his replacement.

The line has been the biggest problems and IDK if Otah's injury has been the only problem. It seems as if everyone's concentration is off, Kalil and Gross both havent been playing well and these are supposed to be foundations to build off of on our line. Is it all on the RG then? idk, but the next wide receiver we get needs to be quick because the line cant give enough time for our QB's to get descent looks.

Our new coaching staff will help me determine who we probably take in the draft. Either way we will be hopefully taking care of a position of need. I do hope we pick up the CB from LSU if hes as good as everyone says he is, or we trade down and get DT Paea from Oregon St. WR's seem like they are such a hard position to draft and we cant afford a bust.

    • So the last guy who had the job got hired by his former team directly into a role he has no direct experience in?
    • Hard to pass up millions for a couple of days work per week for a coaching gig in the NFL that is 60-80 hours each week during the season and a more relaxed 50 hours a week during the off season. Yeah, I'd love to see him as our DC but hard to see him giving up the cushy job there if he gets it. And he's going to be a great commentator for the network.
    • Really, I think that is where negotiations come in. If you've got a QB getting you to 10 wins but statistically he's not a great performer, then you say look you can take $22 million or you can try it on the market. Because let's face it, out there, any leadership skills that we're seeing aren't going to be on the table, it's just going to be performance and that lands him in the QB2 market, which is much, much less lucrative (although any of us would love that money).  No one is saying that Bryce will be a $50 million QB, barring something short of a miraculous jump. I'm just saying that if we are winning somehow with him at the helm, then it would be fuging stupid to dive back into the rookie pool all over again. Let's say we do hit the 10 win mark, heck, let's call it 11 and a second round in the playoffs. I think we can all say that would be a really uplifting result and one that should be doable if we have good play. What do we do then? Here's what I would offer if I were Morgan and Tepper. $25 million a year for 3 years, each year with up to $10 million in incentives for touchdowns, wins, playoff depth, being under 10 interceptions, completing a full season, passing yardage milestones, taking less than 15 sacks. Look, Bryce isn't a Ferrari, he isn't a Corvette, or a mid-level BMW. He's probably a new Toyota Sienna that will definitely get you somewhere and bring the whole team along with it, no fuss but not a lot of pizazz.  And really, it's about the destination, not about what drove you there.
