Limiting the offensive game plan?

Just curious about this.

When Moore started in 2008, didn't we dumb down the offensive playbook for him?

If so, have they done the same for Clausen and Pike when they are in?

I don't think they need to dumb down the playbook. But they do need to limit it to the quick short to intermediate throws.

With a rookie QB who has admitted that he is still struggling with the speed of the NFL and how defenses are disguising what they are doing, along with a young receiver corp and an OL that can't hold a block for more than a nano-second, it makes no sense to continue forcing slow developing passing plays. But this has been obvious from the start, yet we haven't seen much change thus far, so I don't hold out much hope that they will adapt now.
