Yeah he is a patriot but isn't he supposed to be a free agent next year. What are the chances we sign someone of his caliber? The guy is a beast and is someone we need to look at in the offseason.

I had thought the same thing before about Mankins.

I was just worried the huddle would bash my opinion.

I am guessing somehow him and the Patriots become all buddy buddy again like most of their disgruntled players do.

i would much rather us go after an OG in FA than in the draft. same with DT. i just prefer experience in the middle of the lines. now if we could score someone like suh, that would be great but guys like him only come around once in 20 years.

Mankins + Lance Moore + Barry Cofield would be nice.

Not sure any FAs are really going to want to come to Carolina however. And grossly overpaying a few FAs isn't exactly a formula for success.

I don't think FAs will be afraid to come here. Theres still alot of good guys on this team that play at a high level I think it depends alot on who the head coach is.

Do you really see Mankins going from the perennial Super Bowl contender Patriots to a 1-15 Panthers team that's in flux with a slew of new coaches and personnel? I don't. Not unless you break the bank to get him here and it's debatable with all the guys we need to resign (and other holes we need to fill with FAs) if you'd even want to do that.
