tarantulas

Also to note, this is a good reason to keep a few pets in the house (yes, multiple). Cats are particularly curious and small (not poodles) to medium-sized dogs can also be very useful.

Depending on the size of the house, I recommend two cats and a beagle.

Informative.

Didn't know big tarantulas like that hung out in TX.

I have inlaws in Tucson. They all have been stung by scorps and now pretty much ignore them and take care to shake out the shoes and clothes.

The spiders and other crawlie things don't bother me that much.

Sticky traps in the basement have pretty much snagged most of our spiders and seem to work quite well. That is until my two year old found them and came up from the basement looking like some kind of Tim Burtonesque dead spider ornamented Christmas tree. He found like 10 of them and stuck them all over himself. He thought it was the funniest thing ever.

I have an irrational fear of wasps and hornets but not the crawlies.

I think because they have air superiority.

another oddity.. my wife had bad carpal tunnel before she got stung by a scorp in her hand. now she swears she has no pain what so ever.

either the scorp sting hurt that much, or theres some research that needs to be done.

There is sort of, actually. That's about all I can say. lol

And I'd burn down my whole neighborhood, fug spiders. Every last one of them.
