I can see this thread is going to end up pissing me off.

The problem right now is the offense can't get the ball down the field consistently (hell we change QB's every other day). It would be different if the offense was scoring and the problem was with the defense.

It's obvious that these two things have no direct correlation; the only thing they have in common is that the team "got younger" and lost veteran players (some who were good, some who weren't, some who were the FO's fault, and some who weren't).

Just like most positions, they only reflect well when they're good numbers. Otherwise, they're useless.

anyone who watched Peppers start this season would have to admit he was playing great football. that is all that matters.....he was having a huge impact.

stats aren't useless, they just don't tell you really what happpens in games. Charles Godfrey has good numbers, they don't reflect well.

    • What people fail to understand is Lance had a college career that lasted about as long as teenage boys first intercourse.  To say he was raw was an understatement.  So much so that even a QB whisperer had a difficult time molding him into a polished NFL product on top of multiple nagging injuries.  The dud is in his mid-twenties, finally healthy and little miles on the tread.  Low risk, high reward.  If he's available, it would be stupid not to kick the tires.  It took Darnold and Mayfield to hit their 3rd or 4th team for things to finally click.  This is Lance's 3rd stop, I believe.  It's either time for it to click for him or be relegated to a full time backup. Roll the dice....
    • Wrong.  At least we put a QB sneak in the play book and and add plays over 20 yards.
    • I don’t know if people realize that Evan’s was one of the top TE prospects in college  before having some horrible injuries. I wanna say he had two major injuries in back to back seasons which limited his play and dropped his draft stock.
