What's usually on your plate for Thanksgiving?

I love GB casserole, but its not very standard

Usually have turkey, then some Honey Baked Ham if we have it. My dad/grandpa make this gravy that takes dankness to a whole new level, they use the insides of the turkey OMG ITS AMAZING then some mashed taters, then some colon blow probably (marinated peas, corn, pimentos, onions, celery), cranberry sauce, inside stuffing, my grandma always makes aspick or however u spell it but I hate that stuff, and a tomato pie if someone brings it

then you take the gravy and dump it all over the entire plate

Yes!

You're talking about Giblet Gravy right thar. That stuff is epic & I don't use that word often. I just have to not think about what it's made of while I'm eating it. I could just eat that and be content.

I hate traditional TDay food. When you serve 30+ people it goes to quanity over quality many times. Everything tastes bland and the same. I'd much rather have an untraditional meal. My mom makes a peach stuffing with sausage that is really good.

I agree with this completely. But I really love traditional T'giving.

I'm ocd when it comes to cooking food. It has to be absolutely delish or it doesn't get served to people. Quantity over quality is unacceptable.

Quality always reigns supreme with Pot Luck Thanksgiving.

I always do the ham, wife does deviled eggs and desserts.

My brother does on of my faves, GB casserole. MIL does sweet potato casserole and someone always screws up the meal with a Turkey.

Ham FTW!!!

O yeah I forgot my grandma makes the dankest deviled eggs EVER

We are having our work Thanksgiving meal today and this thread is making me look forward to it even more

    • No saying he mostly sucks is saying that he doesn’t suck the minority of the time.   Like if he took 17 tests and had a couple of really good showings and a handful of pretty good scores sprinkled in among the typical sub par results.   Like a golfer who went out and shot an 89.  There will be some real nice shots sprinkled in there but at the end of the day it is still 89.
    • It's worth mentioning... Game 1: Oct 11 in Raleigh. 4-3 OT win with a complete starting lineup. Game 2: Dec 13 in Philly. 4-3 SO win without Jaccob Slavin. Game 3: Dec 14 in Raleigh. 3-2 SO win with a complete starting lineup. Game 4: Apr 13 in Philly. 3-2 SO loss with the AHL roster.  Those early season games were no indication of the Canes team that finished the season. Miller and Ehlers were still trying to figure things out, Nikishin was still a work in progress and the Stankoven line was just another line. Make no mistake, the Canes team Philly will see is nothing close to what they saw at any point in the season. If the top line starts producing, Freddie stays hot and the blue line does what it does, this could be a sweep as well.
