Falcons were worse off after 2007

Well, not record wise of course, but personnel wise and peripheral wise they definitely were.

-Blank had made three horrible coaching decisions in a four year span

1. Firing Dan Reeves

2. Hiring Jim Mora Jr.

3. Hiring Bobby Petrino

Their drafting had been atrocious when they were actually spending their first rounders. Off the top of my head, they traded a first for Peerless, a first for Abraham (arguably not a bad move), and their 2007 seven first round DE is now a rotational DT.

Their face of the city QB had just done something. Can't remember what. something involving cats I think.

Their coach quit halfway through the season.

They were an old team all over the ball and looked well past their prime.

A whole host of assholes had played quarterback for them.

And there were a ton of other problems with them. I'm not going to bore you with the details.

I just bring this up because as bad as the Panthers look now, it wasn't as bad as it was in Atlanta in 2007. And now the Falcons are in the midst of their third straight winning season and will probably have a first round bye, before getting blown out by Green Bay or Philadelphia.

Oversimplified, but they turned it all around with one great draft, one great coaching hire, and one great free agent signing.

football isn't baseball. You can turn it around really quick. and the Panthers are better off than the Falcons were, or hell even the Bucs.

Also I'm getting banned off and on and it doesn't give me a reason for it. Is it like a glitch or am i on some ban randomizer

    • I wouldn’t be surprised if the Pats win it all or at least get there. Maye is awesome.
    • Young quarterbacks Drake Maye, Bo Nix, and Bryce Young have led their teams to undefeated records since October.   Drake Maye has guided the New England Patriots to a 5-0 record in that period, with 2,285 passing yards and 17 touchdowns in nine games. Bo Nix has directed the Denver Broncos to a 5-0 stretch, throwing for 1,976 yards and 17 touchdowns, contributing to a 7-2 overall start. Bryce Young, in his second season, has led the Carolina Panthers to a 4-0 run since October, accumulating 1,390 yards and 11 touchdowns amid a 4-4 record.   Undefeated QBs since start of October (min. 4 starts)   Drake Maye 5-0 Bo Nix 5-0 Bryce Young 4-0   Bryce Young when asked about his mindset during game winning drives: "You don’t rise to the occasion you fall back to the level of your training."
    • 1. Cowboys-No explanation needed. 2. Rest of NFC South equally. If I had to pick I would say Falcons.    3. Eagles- Both of the games I have attended there the fans were so horrible. The fan base is so ridiculously misbehaved, I’ve never seen such immaturity. 4- Lions- I have cousins in Michigan that grew up Lions fans and they are some of the most obnoxious people I have ever met, as are all of their Lions buddies. The NFL has been lucky that Detroit has been in the cellar for its eternity.    5. Tie between Bears and Vikings. Both act like Steelers, Cowboys, Niners fans do with nostalgia and legendary seasons but neither have ever really had them. They act like they each won 5 super bowls in previous decades but never accomplished poo outside of Chicago in 85.
