Armanti Edwards hasnt thrown a pass, so how is he a QB? Most weeks he dont even dress. Jerry Colquitt never played QB here. Sorry, Scott, the Panthers have very little to no history of blacks at QB. Their only history is Rodney Peete, who they showed 0 loyalty too and replaced as soon as they could. I suspect if the Panthers did bring in a black QB, it'd be a scenario like that. Some old washed up black QB on his last leg, so it could be easily justified replacing him after a year or so for another younger more desirable white QB. Thats the only scenario I see the Panthers bringing a black QB in. But someone who's actually got talent, that is young, with upside for years to come, Jerry Richardson and the Carolina Panthers would never. Jerry Richardson will NEVER EVER EVER draft a black QB, and proclaim him the "future". Thats not how he runs his business.

You said "The Panthers make sure every QB on their roster is white." This was proven wrong (Craig, Rutherford, Peete).

You said "The Panthers owner would never draft a black QB, no matter what." This was also proven wrong (Colquitt).

You said "The Panthers would pull some guy away from fries at McDonalds before they'd seriously look at a black QB." Like the other parts of your rant, this was proven wrong (Peete).

Pretty clear you're either just trolling or you have no grasp whatsoever on facts or reality. Doesn't really matter which it is.

Spin it as much as you want, but the result is already decided.

I dont think its fair to call me and the other black fans of the Carolina Panthers racist because we believe a black QB could perform better than what we've been putting on the field the past 4-5 years at the QB position. Most of us have been cheering for, believing in, and accepting whites as our QB since inception. KG, most blacks in the city of Charlotte feel the same way I do when it comes to the Panthers and how their front office does things. Alot dont root for the Panthers simply because of this issue, and opt for teams that dont have the hangups that we do. Its not like the front office has alot of winning in their history to justify why certain things are the way they are.

still wondering how many teams have never drafted a black QB, or even had a black QB on their team.

I compiled a list on this last season. Its about 3-4 that have never had one on their team. Some have had multiple, others like ours have had 1. The list is on another computer I have so I gotta find it. The criteria I used to consider one a NFL quarterback was

-did they start more than 1 game

-did they throw over 50 passes in a season.

Out of all the NFC South teams, our track record was the most dismal. We're behind our peers.

I'm a black Panther fan and I don't agree with you. What black QB do you think we could have got that would have been better than Jake? Only one I can think of is Donovan and he wasn't leaving Philly. Really who else should we have got?

David Garrard in 2002.

We could've opted not to re-sign Jake after he had the worst playoff game of his life in 2009, and used that money elsewhere to bring in another QB. Instead we're paying him to play against us today, and thats part of why this franchise is decimated right now. Think about that, our owner is paying both of the QBs on the football field right now. LOL.

Uhh. . .just because KT has an obvious soft spot for black QBs doesn't mean he is a racist. Is he often overzealous? Sure, but it's a minority issue.

If white guys up here want to cheer for white RBs or WRs or whatever because they are not around as much anymore, go ahead. I don't care or I doubt KT cares (I recall KT being helpful when the same OP made a best white American NBA player thread).

KT would be wise not to take the bait all the time, but it's still funny to see everyone in get bent up about it, especially when it's not KT that starts it nowadays.

Garrard did nothing in 2002. No reason to take him over Jake. Yes we could have gotten rid of Jake in 2009 but who were we supposed to sign?
