Fair Weather

It really makes me mad when just yesterday I was on the escalator to work yesterday and listening to a conversation between three people, two guys and a girl about how Carolina Panthers were going to get their ass kicked tonight and how we wont make the playoffs. After last's night win, I am on my way up to my floor and I see the exact same three talking about how awesome Carolina is and how we can go to the superbowl and what not, I wish i didn't need my job cause i would have decked everyone of them, fair weather fans suck, they take all the tickets to fans who are real fans and not just like "oh the panthers are 10-3 and we got tickets, were going" i doubt half the people around charlotte can name the starting line-up on offense or defense, ahh i wish we had more team spirit, like the steelers do, not fans that come out of closet like our fans do it seems

thats not the point, i mean i had my doubts too but the way they were talking about us losing is ridiculous and the 24 hours later they are talking about how awesome J.Stew and D.Williams are and how much they enjoyed the game and can't wait for sundays game... i gurantee before yesterday they even knew who the two running backs were for Carolina, hell i doubt half the country knew.. maybe Carolina will get more recognintion next year...

Ehhh, whatever. I don't really worry about other fans, I care about myself.

I'm among those who don't necessarily think a person is fairweather if they think we're going to lose. If you thought your team was going to have their ass handed to them and then they ended up dominating in the end, of course that's going to warrant an "awesome" conversation.

Aw man, you can probably get another job. You might even get promoted for a triple decker! Good post, I know what you mean.

No not really man, Duke Energy pays very well but thats a different story. I am talking now that we actually look like an amazing team that everyone saw last night, you guys will all start to see these fans come out of no where saying stuff like oh the panthers are awesome and all this crap... but you knwo next year if we are 6-7 they'll talk about how bad we suck and go into hiding again... just be prepared as we get closer to playoffs, its not a big deal really just really annoying cause charlotte is filled with it, i wish we had more team spirit sometimes...

    • It was absolutely a catch, and I can’t believe how many folks were stating, before the NFL’s apology, that the overturn was the right call.  The ultimate question in this case is this: can a player complete a catch with only one hand? Of course, we all know the answer to that question, and it is an emphatic “Yes.” T-Mac maintained complete control with one hand (believe it was the right) while the other came off when the ball hit the ground. The ball was in the same position in the one hand (watch T-Mac’s fingers in relation to the NFL shield on the ball) after touching the ground as it was when it first went to the ground. Going back to the question above, if one hand can establish control, then there was no need for the other to stay on the ball, so long as the ball doesn’t move in that one hand that stays on it   It blew my mind that they overturned this in the first place. This should not be a “We got it wrong on the replay because there wasn’t clear and convincing evidence.” This should have been, “That was absolutely a catch.”
    • Sign him up. I am willing to bet he wouldn't finish a game with -2 yards.
    • He is just fuging limited in every way.  On one hand, and nfl player, you would want to bulk them up so long as it doesn’t limit their mobility, elasticity, flexibility, ROM, or dynamicism - as is the concern with bulking up.  But the issue with that is, you would be worried about that when a guy has those traits to begin with.  Bryce is a very average athlete with a weak arm.  So if you’re not gonna be a great athlete with a strong arm, bulk up.  And if you can’t or won’t bulk up, find another fuging profession that doesn’t require athleticism and arm strength.  You’re built like a bitch AND aren’t a great athlete - you can’t be subpar in both categories…  well, unless you play for the Panthers apparently.
