Okay and what I am asking you to do is disregard the performances this year. Try and look at the little things. Please just tell me some tools he possesses that will help him reach career backup level in the NFL.

Do you have a personal issue with Clausen? Did he fug someone near and dear to you?

If it makes you sleep better tonight, then I will say that Clausen will forever be a shitty piece of floater terd that broke off and refuses to wash away.

I have no personal stake in the matter, as you must, I just think it is too early to make a statement on his carreer because he wasn't able to carry a bad team as a rookie.

You keep pushing the issue while I have told you that there is not a lot, if anything that he is doing right, right now.

However, imagine if you could jump into a time machine and steal any QB you want as a rookie and take him to the present and put him behind this OL with this scheme and I don't think they are going to look like anything much more than what you are seeing with Clausen. So, to me, saying that he is DEFINETLY going to be a failure is a decision that is being called by angry fans.

To be fair, I've said he'd be a failure before he took a snap for us so I'm not an angry fan, just a realist.

Brian St. Pierre came off the couch and threw the same amount of TD passes as Clausen has in 8 games.

Yet I had people yelling at me that I was an idiot for saying BSP was better than Clausen. The proof is in the numbers, lol.

The truth is, Jimmy won't pull the trigger when guys are open, he holds it and either has to checkdown, throw it away, or get sacked. Yes the OL has allowed guys to get straight to him as soon as it is snapped 2 or 3 times a game, but it is NOT happening every pass play.

You are exactly right.

You could probably put Clausen on any team in the NFL right now and he would still look bad.

Our O-line has been complete poo this year. Don't mistake the talent of our RBs with the lack of talent of the O-line. Our RBs haven't looked decent for the last couple of weeks because of our O-line, they have looked good in spite of our sorry ass O-line.

As for Clausen, he hasn't looked impressive, but he is still a rookie being protected by a group of men who have looked like a bunch of jackasses running around willy-nilly when pressured with average looking schemes. What do you really expect? Moore didn't look good, and neither did St. Pierre. They have all looked like varying degrees of poo. What's the common denominator? Sorry ass O-line play and sorry ass coaching that has the creativity and adaptability of a turtle stuck in the mud. These two factors would make ANY vet look horrible, much less a rookie.

Jake? Jake? If we had put Jake in this position, not only would the sky have fallen, but the ground would have caved in and sucked any type of life out of BOA this year. And, BTW, this is not a defense of Clausen, this is just how it T-I-is. If Luck, Locker, Keenum, or whoever is going to be an improvement next year, then the O-line and coaching is going to have to be addressed in a prolific manner.

Now, of course we haven't had any great play at the position, but there is more to it than just blaming the QB. Break down in protection and handicapped coaching.

Of course, but the fact remains that other QB's can find the endzone whereas Clausen can't.

Clausen is garbage.
