Official Panthers/Cardinals Tailgate Thread

Last game of the year here, Cardinals come to town at 1pm.

This week's tailgate will be put on by comxdlr and the menu will include hot chili with other items. Since the bikes have already been donated this game is not sponsored. Comxdlr is providing this for tips only so please be generous. Various sodas and waters will be the drinks. Here's the usual info:

FAQ:

1. Who will be there/who can come? Let's start this out by saying that anybody can come and everyone is welcome. It has been this way ever since we started in 2004 and it makes the day interesting to say the least. Just come on down. The first tailgate started with about 8 people and since then thousands have tailgated with us, some every week. We were all newcomers at one point or another. Yes, even opposing fans are welcome.

2. Where? The tailgate is in a parking lot across the street (same side) from Picasso's located at 230 S. Church St. It's a big parking lot that borders Church, 3rd, and Poplar downtown. In particular we are in the corner of 3rd and Poplar. There will be loud music and a Carolina Huddle banner up on a tent along the sidewalk of 3rd St. We are right beside the lower entrance to this lot.

3. When? We will start tailgating at 9am, going until right before kickoff. No food will be served until around 10:30am and if you get there past 12:30pm or so don't expect any food to be left.

4. What do I bring? We provide just about everything. Food, plates, side items, non alcoholic drinks like waters, a diet soda, and regular soda. We have tents in case it rains and a few chairs if you really need one. If you drink alcohol, you need to bring it because the Huddle does not in any way provide alcohol for tailgates.

5. How much? We provide everything for you to have a good tailgate and leave full before going into the game. The food you eat at this tailgate is home cooked or grilled and 10X better and more fun than eating heat lamp food inside the stadium.

Parking in the lot we're at costs $25/space. You do not have to park there to tailgate with us, few people do. You can easily find spots a few blocks back for a fraction of the cost (down to $5)of this lot and just walk up. Some people take the light rail in for a few bucks.

Disclaimer: There will probably be loud music. The Huddle does not take responsibility for what is seen and heard at a tailgate so consider this before bringing children. The Huddle does not police adult behavior at tailgates.

Any other questions this is the thread to ask

I hate to miss this one, but the funds are low for Xmas and I am going to be in Cherokee taking other people's money to buy presents for my kids.

Y'all have a good time and I'll see you next year. Thanks again for everyone's support making this another good tailgating season despite the team's performance. I couldn't think of a better way to kill a day than laughing, eating great food, having good memories, and meeting/hanging out with some of the best people around.

Yeah I'm going to do dueling chilis.. one veggie only and one MEAT :)

I'll grab some nacho chips and cheese and some bread as well so there will be some good hot chili for those that are in need of a warmup before the game.. I'll have a grill there so if someone does want to drop something else on there .. i have no problem with that.. but i do make a damn good chili just for reference :)

I think we are going to bring over a big thing of hot coffee and some baileys or Kahalua or both.. so that should be good too...

See everyone there.. hunt for the big Silver FJ Cruiser

    • I would say that seems like an odd comment from Morgan, but at the same time it's almost impossible to find a college QB declaring for the draft to have less physical ability than BY so you can assume almost anyone you bring in would be your go to QB sneak/designed run guy.
    • Gronk is the best TE of all time, but he also played with Brady. Clarke was great, but had Peyton and in an era TE's didn't make crazy money. Kittle is great, but the two times he's made the SB, he was still on his rookie contract for one, and the other the 49ers had Purdy on a cheap rookie deal which help them build the rest of the roster. So again, it's not about not wanting an elite TE, of course it would be nice.  But realistically, in today's NFL, unless that elite TE with a top end TE salary is on a team with a GOAT level QB and/or other serious cap savings (i.e. key players on rookie deals), then I think it's not a good use of cap space.
    • This place was the poo pre tepper with tons of hilarious posters like phillyB. Joined in the 2000s during the 07 season and have been here bitching about this team since. but yeah its sadly been dying a slow death, every time I come to this site I am surprised its still up. I think the 2015 season was the absolute peak, the Panthers and this board especially just haven't "felt" the same since then. Igo should really sell the board since he clearly doesn't care anymore. Also, Reddit blows and the Bryce defenders on there need Jesus.
