Anyone else intrigued by this show?

I've always wondered what it would be like to go to a storage unit auction, and if you could find any cool things worth keeping or reselling...

This show has me chomping at the bit to go out to a few and see how they are run, and maybe even buying someone else's junk... lol...

Been watching this show, along with Pawn Stars, and American Pickers quite a bit. Just seems like a hard business to get into but I enjoy them nonetheless.

I almost made this thread last night while watching. It's amazing what people just leave behind. I would have loved to have that unit that had all the sports memorabilia in it. I wonder if auctions like that go on in every city and how you find out about them.

oh yeah, they happen everywhere. just pay attention when driving past any of the million storage unit places around town, they'll usually put up a sign/banner when they're going to have an auction

just watch out for dead bodies and half-assed meth labs

The only one besides her I can bearly stand it Barry. He will bid one some stuff, but he's not in the league as the 2 big time guys. They are douche's as far as I'm concerned. They will bid just to bid other people up, even if they don't want it!

Barry is on the left, the auctioneer is in the middle and the 2 douches are on the right.

A former neighbor of mine used to go to storage auctions all the time. She used to find some realy cool things, dirt cheap. Now of course, everyone think they are going to make a small fortune.
