I didn't say you were.. I was saying that I'm not implying anyone needs to go on a crusade.. but I would at least tell him he needs to get his poo together or else off himself..

A guy I really dont know from high school is in my friends list and he told everyone he was going to end it all, then no one could find him for a few days. Cops picked him up after a bender and he's in some kind of rehab I think. People freaked out...I didn't really know the guy but was thinking "wow could I have helped?" which is silly.

If you want to kill yourself, please don't tell us beforehand and make us all miserable too.

So I've been thinking about this and I really think I should at least find out whats going on with him instead of just ignoring it because I'd feel really bad if I just stood by and ignored him if he did kill himself or try to hurt himself. What kind of person would that make me? Not a very good one for sure.

I messaged his sister and asked her what is wrong with him and why he is so depressed. I think these are things that immediate family should look after anyway. I expressed my concerns for her and told her if he is suicidal he really should be admitted for psychiatric treatment. I told her I would try to find a few places online and email them to her if she didn't know how to look herself.

We'll see what happens.

I have a friend who does that crap from time to time...he puts up weird dark poems that he writes, says things like "don't know where I am or where I'm going" or "I have no friends"...then all these hot friend-girls that he has put up comments like "call me" and "you know I'm always here for you" and I think of the booty that he gets from posting that sh!t, and then i think, no, no, you are not a loser...you sir, are a facebook genius. I hate to be insensitive about it but it just seems like to me he's whoring for attention.

he probably is whoring for attention but it doesn't mean he should be ignored. If he's posting on Facebook about it that means he still gives a poo about others and his own thoughts which means he's probably not a danger to kill himself unless he's a manic depressive. I think most people would rather have a loved one cry for help rather than off themselves though.

I doubt he's just a perfectly healthy attention *****. He needs to see a doctor. If it's somebody you don't really care about then I wouldn't let it bother you though.

I get annoyed with people like that who I don't care about. Those I do care about I usually attack the problems hard.

that whole draw of the need for drama with young girls pisses me off. You can't get their attention without being very angry or sad. Talking straight is boring so no deal. Because who aren't drama queens are boring.

      FLA showed everyone it’s not about superstars. they bullied the best line in the NHL into obscurity. they played hard, were in the right positions, and ran over everything that got in their way.

      That’s really not what you said and when I even expressed doubt as to your intentions with the post you doubled down and remained unclear on whether you were trying to drag Dean Smith for whatever reason. You just got the facts wrong, which if you don’t follow the local college programs like you say then maybe you just were mistaken and thought Smith didn’t win championships or have legit superstars, and that is ok, but you just doubled down when my first post was more corrective than anything. I’m not sure what you expect posting objectively false things like “RBA has a lot of wins with nothing to show for it like Dean Smith” (paraphrasing) on a message board with plenty of UNC fans. I’m not taking it as a personal affront, we can agree to disagree, Dean Smith’s legacy fortunately will not be affected by this conversation. Screw the (Florida) Panthers?

      Bring in the free agents and trades.  Florida is the best team and unless Tulsky makes it happen, it’s more of the same…which isn’t bad…but it’s time to win a goddamn cup.
