Jangler

Again, it ain't aboot wut u want.

I've had this fear as well... On a side note, I actually accidentally watched some of "I love you Beth Cooper" the other day and saw hayden's side boob in that awful movie and thought of you Jangler. Then I thought I was weird for thinking about someone I've never met before...

The difference between Luck and many of the people on this message board is that Luck is looking at this through the eyes of a college junior with all the world in front of him. The people who think he should come out and sign are more than likely out of school and dealing with the realities of post school life. In college we all thought we would come out of college and make lots of money doing what we love. The reality for many is different than that and looking from an adult perspective passing up a sure 30 or 40 million to stay in school and chance losing it, is crazy. But when you are 10 feet tall and bullet proof like most college students, things like career ending injuries and poor seasons seem unlikely.

I wonder how much his father will try and influence him. Obviously Harbaugh is pushing for him to stay. I wonder how it will feel if Harbaugh decides to leave. I expect what Luck decides to do by January 15th will influence Harbaugh's decision since it has to be made by January 15th. I wonder if San Fran will go after him hard as soon as their bowl game is over.

He would make far more in the NFL even if the rookie salaries are lowered.

Staying in school may not be so smart on the other hand "it is what it is".

Probably true, but the NFL lifestyle is not one that everyone wants to lead. Injuries, travel, a year-round grind... money doesn't trump all.

Team Matt VS. Team Jimmy.
be a lot of team 'jump the ships' if that happens.

i know i won't be pleased and wouldn't blame anyone for abandoning the team because it would be pretty obvious that they don't have a clue what they're doing or have no real interest in making this the best team possible.

I have read a lot of people saying it would be stupid for Luck to pass on all the money to stay in school for one more year.

Maybe he wants to do what he loves and that ain't football. It's not so crazy to go to school play football get a degree then go into that field you studied your ass off for. So don't judge him if not only does he stay for another year, but doesn't even play professional football. Sometimes there are more important things than money.

I suggested that earlier and somebody flipped out at the idea of that.

I've been wondering that too. Football/Architecture must be extremely close to his loves. Because most players dream of being picked #1 not for the money but just being picked #1.

He's so committed to his other passion t makes me wonder if football is actually the odd one out in his priorities. It's crazy that he has a 3.5 GPA though, there was a basketball player at clemson with a wife and a kid doing architecture and he was just able to stay above water from what grad students told me, and even that was VERY impressive.

That would make me nervous if he did enter the draft because then I'd be worried that he would quit football once the going got tough to go pursue his other dream.
