I would hope that Hurney had already had some backdoor communication with Harbaugh. To first gauge his interest in coming to charlotte and what he wants. Set up an official interview after the orange bowl.

IF JR wanted Hurney long term he would have resigned him by now. Hurney contract is been up since last this past summer. Don't expect him to stay after next week. Beside Marty will not have any say on who the panthers will sign as the next HC. The top guys in the franchise will. Like Jr and VP of operations.

I don't know where you get right hand that JR is going to sign Jim straight up. I'm still not on board with bringing in a college HC that has only been a college HC for like 2 years in his short carreer. I honestly don't see Jr taking a high risk on a guy like Jim who has played in the NFL but only has 2 years as a HC only in college. To high of a risk to screw the franchise for many years to come. I see JR going after a HC that is more NFL ready like Cowher or someone like him.I just don't see it happening.:lurk5:
