1988 raleigh tornado went literally right over my family's house. our neighbor's house three doors down was gone. i was six and i'll never forget walking outside to see all that damage. i knew about tornados but i couldn't comprehend how wind could be that destructive when i was that young. we were incredibly lucky.

Right down the street, literally, no damage where my house is, but maybe 1/4th mile down the street, two church roofs got tore up, street lights ripped out of the ground as well as trees.
