Fox Hovering over Panthers' defense with Meeks in Place

I really dont know how you can say that both DB's underperformed.....I watched every single game, and Gamble didnt really give up poo all season. Hell most teams rarely even threw to him....although that might be because Lucas is so pathetic.

Gantt's recent articles would say otherwise.

I'm reserving judgment till I see the assistant coach hires. If it's primarily "Fox guys" then these suggestions might have validity. If it's new blood, that's another story.

Fox trusted Davidson enough to let him pick his own QB coach. I think Fox liked Trgovac, but I don't think he trusted him (at least not to the level he does Davidson).

There is alot of truth to this statement. PFT is hit or miss. They just throw it out there and hope they look like they have inside knowledge.

PFT is sometimes like an annotated version of KFFL. They link to stories from local papers and throw in their two cents. Not terribly different from what we fans do on a message board, mind you, but a little better connected.

The difference with PFT is that Florio is willing to print unsubstantiated stuff that most professional journalists wouldn't touch. On that front, sometimes he's right. Sometimes he's wrong. What causes some people trouble with it is inability to distinguish the "story" stuff from the "rumor" stuff.

Biggest value for me is that sites like PFT, KFFL, Rotoworld and The Redzone make good "clearing house" pages, places where you can browse news linked from around the league in one spot.

Nothing really new.

And I will also state this, anybody who expects a defensive minded HC to not be involved on his defense, needs to get a heaping load of common sense.

Exactly, Fox has either been playing or coaching defense for most of his life, and that is what got him the HC'ing job in the first place, so to expect him to not be involved in his teams defense is just ignorant.

The article is PFW, not PFT, people.

That mistake's been made before

My excuse is I was commenting on a comment about PFT and similar sites.

(that's my story and I'm stickin' to it)

I actually subscribe to the print version of PFW. Expensive as all get out, but worth it.
