Well Fisher has been saddled with a 'Cam Newton' type QB, look where it has gotten him.

Word is fisher is going to sit down with Bud 'I flip off opposing fans' Adams and tell him he isn't working with Young anymore and Adams needs to make a decision. According to the Crypt keeper John Clayton, Adams just sent out christmas cards with him and young on it so....

Jeff Fisher as next Panthers HC?

Jeff Fisher sucks, stop trying to blame his QB who aint played in weeks. Vince Young will be back in Tenn next season, Fisher wont. Andrew Luck is a "Todd Marinovich" type QB.

Fox isn't a very good HC. He is a decent HC. Not much more. Very good HCs have consistantly good teams.

We all want our team to win the SB every year but it aint gonna happen. The NFL has this thing setup to share the wealth through parity. Sure there are an exception once in a while but not often. Currently I can only think of Belicheck as winning every year. Be competiive is what you want and over the last 9 years (and totally dismissing this year) Fox had that. Is it time to move on? Obviously it is but to dis the man as worthless is simply not fair.

In case you forgt...

So 3 playoff years. Year one and year 9 should be dismissed. So 4 down years, 3 up years, two dismissed. Not great but not in the toliet either.

2002 - 7-9 Improved over disaster Siefert

2003 - SB. Didn't win but enough said.

2004 - 7-9 down year

2005 - Title Game

2006 - 8-8 down year

2007 - 7-9 down year

2008 - Back to Playoffs.

2009 - 8-8 down year

2010 - FO gave up.

Very good HC's have constantly good QB Play.... Show me head coaches who has had below average qb play and won consistently in the NFL?????

Great quarterbacks can make a good coach look great, and great coaches can make a good qb look great. But bad coaches can't make a great qb look great, and great coaches can't make a bad qb look great.

Or something like that. :)

first, Fox hasn't had below average QB play his entire tenure in Carolina.

Shanny in Denver, he had 5 consecutive seasons with a winning record (2002-2006). The last 9 years Shanny was in Denver he had 1 losing season.

QBs - Brian Griese and Jake Plummer during those 5 seasons. Shanny was a very good coach.

So your gonna say Jake plummer who had went over 200 passes without an int at one point... Was below average qb play

But Jake Delhomme was an above average QB play?

COme on Man

Want some fun? Go start a thread that says anything positive about Delhomme and see how long it takes him to weigh in about how much he sucked, despite the great coaching and talent surrounding him. :)

    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
    • Homerism aside, the more I see from Dan, the more impressed I am.  His player evaluation instincts. Last year his 2 premier FA signings, Hunt and Lewis COMPLETELY changed the line and I have a feeling his success in choosing blue chip guys will continue.  Look at the panthers’s rep for FA signings in the past. By and large, it’s been guys 1 year past their prime who had an injury and suckered our GM in to a crippling contract. We never get nice things. When was the last time this team signed 2 young blue chip studs  in the same offseason to contracts worthy of their impact? Ever?  Im telling y’all, players respect and trust Morgan.
