So who here thinks Matt Moore will get re-signed for next year?

He did, indeed. Most players have said that. Actually, all have, minus Marshall and Smith.

Why do you let him go?

Showed zero ability to lead a team as a full-time starter. No leadership ability and terrible vision. An interception machine, with major durability issues and an inability to throw deep passes that do not resemble punts.

Why do you keep him?

Because you and RealDeal will commit suicide otherwise, he is not a cancer in the locker room and he would be cheap

Remove durability issues and change interception machine to checkdown machine and those are reasons to let Clausen go.

Why would you take a guy who who has potential to be a good backup rather than a guy who has proven to be a good backup?

Also, that is pure speculation on your part and many many people have made comments to the opposite about his work ethic and such.

The speculation comes from the people saying he doesn't work hard. Show me proof he doesn't work hard.

I would love to have Matt Moore back. Should Luck not be the player we think he will be we will have Matt Moore to fall back on. If we don't keep Moore than we will have Clausen who I have no faith in. On the positive side keeping Clausen will help us continue to get high draft picks year after year.

I don't have any that's why I said other people have said this. You can't use speculation in your argument for Clausen if I can't use speculation against him, you know? He very well could be a hard worker but there is no evidence of this.

Sam Bradford was a checkdown machine, should the Rams cut him? Would you rather see interceptions than 6 yard completions? Be a Delhomme fan.

A more accurate statement would be:

"Would you rather see 3 yard completions roughly 50% of the time?"

What if we prefer points, TD passes and drives?

Face it LPF, no one is on the Clausen bandwagon besides you, Mioww, and UrryMonster. People are starting to realize that Moore isn't such a bad option but Jimmy absolutely has no future.

I disagree. Clausen has a bright future ahead of him, being paid to sit on a bench every Sunday holding a clipboard for a NFL team is a dream job for many.

I'm not advocating anything but him being the backup. Speaking of speculation, that's about all you've got, saying he has no future. And you know this how??

Watching games.

Why again would Clausen deserve the backup spot more than Moore?

A few million dollars? If that and some hidden potential are all you have then you already know, you're just fighting it for some reason.

I don't get the obsession some Panther fans have with Matt Moore. What has he ever done to generate this kind of loyalty from fans? He had a few good games when we were already out of the playoff hunt. He's a backup; that's it. He'll never be anything more in the NFL.

He may be a solid backup, sure, but he'll never be the savior so many Panther fans seem to have pegged him as since 2007.

If only you knew just how wrong that last sentence is. I have been here for the past couple of years and most of the time you could count the number of Matt Moore supporters on two hands and not one thought he would be a savior of any sort. Just a good QB.
