The Luck Watch...

Mr. Scot

I think Luck will ultimately declare. I think he knew last night, after the Orange Bowl. That's why he wanted to just enjoy the moment.

But, I think that Carolina should try and get a coach in here before the 15th, or atleast have an almost definitive candidate, because Luck may stay in if there's no one set in stone.

I just hope that, one way or another, we are able to get a coach(whether it be as a coordinator, assistant, whatever) who can work with QB's.

Ron Rivera as head coach + Josh McDaniels as offensive coordinator would be fantastic. Too bad it'll never happen lol.

I just don't see how Luck can gain anything "Football wise" if he stays. I'm not talking about money or even if Harbaugh stays. They are going to lose a big portion of thier roster next year and will probably not have the same success they had this year.

He and Harbaugh both need to strike now. Everybody is drooling over both these guys.

We've heard from Luck that Harbaugh's decision will impact his, implying that he will wait to hear what Harbaugh decides (or they decide together). I can't imagine Luck making a decision without having some degree of confidence in what Harbaugh is going to do. Ergo, I see them making a decision at essentially the same time. Schefter has reported that Harbaugh will decide by the end of this week. If we believe this, then I see no reason why we should have to wait beyond Monday (the 10th) at the latest for a decision to be announced by Luck.

I still think its a ridiculous decision if he stays with a looming reduction in wages. Espn is doing everything possible to not mention us as a possible destination for a great QB. Hopefully he buys into Richardson as a great owner and hopefully JR doesn't screw a coaching search that could lock him up...we gotta get a respectable coach.

I swear. This is going to be the biggest letdown in the history of my life if Luck does not declare. I will cry in a corner for a month................

I have always liked the Colts and enjoyed seeing Manning play. Always thought.."man would be nice for the panthers to have someone like that"....but always knew it would be very unlikely. Now we have the chance. Please Luck!!!!!!!!!

He said that he was going to sit down and list the pros and cons. Hell, we can do that for him (feel free to enhance this list):

PRO Going PRO: Money Set for life), #1 draft pick lock (Stock will never be higher) , Carolina is not major market, Harbaugh to leave, Many seniors graduating at Stanford (Team will not be very good next year), Closer to parents

CONS: Want degree, Love college experience, Gain more experience for next level, will win Heisman, Money will be there next year.

I see an 80% chance he comes out.

    • Carolina Way is gone, it went out the window with the Belichick hiring. They'll hire the best coach they can, ignoring everything else if possible.    Athletic reports that the school's top two targets are Tommy Lloyd and Billy Donovan. They don't care the buyout for a coach either, they and the boosters are willing to spend and will be going outside of the coaching family tree 100%.
    • I don't think it's a homer though when I really feel this team can beat anyone.  The points that can be scored in bunches when the big three are on has high potential.  Moose has effort for days and IMO is the heart of the team.  And didn't see Miles becoming the team "vet" in the starting lineup just roleplaying lol.   We have to limit the turnovers though (Brandon Miller I'm looking at you bud, you are a bad ball handler) and some little things.   Colby off the bench is a cheat code and him and Kaulk have a nice little game going with the picks.    Sion playing every game and just getting better each game.  He has grit.  Grant and Green also grit.  We need replace Tillman with PJ Hall though.  Tillman looks like someone that shouldn't be on an NBA court, or at least with this team, he's just too slow for this tempo.   Even McNeely looked decent tonight and can drive.   If Kaulk and Moose could even be like 30% 3pt shooters man....
