I know this is meant to be joke, but what's done is done.

I disagree with what Hurney did because AE is such a project, but I think he has a chance to be better than what people think. He is such a tremendous athlete that I think down the line (2 years from now), he can be a weapon.

And that's where it will matter most, because I think this team is a 2-3 year project.

how can u make judgement on armanti after 1 season, he did not get to play much and was forced to learn an entirly different position. You guys had a hard on for Jarret for 2 years before u turned on him.

I think its hard to make a judgement, but considering he hasn't played a meaningful snap, as fans you have to be open to the possibility of him being a contributor.

That's why people who bash the trade are jumping to rash statements when he was a rookie, learning a new position, with a rebuilding team.

this will make it worth while.. if he is a dangerous weapon (and it's possible) I'll be okay with it.. if he turns out to be Ryne Robinson, then we definitely lost out.. big.

but there is no doubt, he has huge upside.. and to judge him after this year is really f**king stupid.. If anyone thinks this year is all Edwards will ever be is being entirely too short sighted..

and so Zod's plan here has succeeded...

am i the only person that's not seen much of this 'athleticism' everyone keeps harping on? i know he hasn't shown much in the NFL... but athleticism in college does not always translate

i'd love for him to be the next SS, and am willing to wait on him to progress, but so far i've seen nothing that screams 'freak athlete' like some people preach on here

Very much a valid point. I would not say "freak athlete" to describe Armanti Edwards. He's fast and has great vision. You can see that in his college tape when he pulls down the ball and finds open seams to run through. As a natural Moose possesion type receiver, I don't think that type of athleticism will translate well. But for a Wes welker slot receiver type role, where he can use his speed, quickness, and vision to find soft spots, that may be a possibility.

Bottom line: I think he has tremendous upside, and potential that might not be reached for another 3 years or so. But if you look at the big picture, I think this team is going to be ready to seriously compete in 2-3 years, and if that's when he blossoms into a contributor, it could be perfect timing.

    • After watching Dan for 3 yrs now, I think I understand his plan. It’s a simple plan that should work for the long run.     I saw some of this last yr. Dan wants a vet and a young player at each position. I really think we go OT if one they like there. Moton is aging, Icky will not be back until 27, if ever. We need to get ahead of the tackle problem
    • You are just stressing too much about these particular positions. You want to upgrade from Bryce and I understand that but you aren’t going to really get that without getting into a bidding war for a QB2 potential QB1 like Willis. You could possibly trade for Mills or the backup for Chicago but they are still gambles and their teams will won’t decent picks.  Again the Eagles thought KP was a capable enough backup to trade for him once their backup was hurt and won a Super Bowl with him as QB2. The point is most teams aren’t rolling with some stud QB2/3 that is going to push even a bottom tier starter. They are better off the building their roster in other areas. The Rams are rolling with Bennett right now as QB2 for example.  The goal is winning absolutely. We overachieved last year even with stumbling into the playoffs. Another year and this staff needs to take the next step in building a team. Will Grier has little to no impact on that….
    • Three straight first round WRs is straight up Matt Millen poo. Considering the draft capital we have tied up on Bryce after that trade we would basically have spent damn near all of our draft capital in recent years on QB and WR just to put one of the most anemic passing offenses in the league on the field. Clown show poo.
