Might I add... not talking about practice squad etc. Just guys that started this season and/or under rotational circumctances. (Which was most)

Offense

G Williams

Bernadeau

Sutton

Clausen...that was your chance...lifes a bitch

Lafell...possibly...my chips aren't on it yet

Edwards :(

Defense

E Brown

R Marshall is almost guaranteed

CJ Wilson

Dan Morgan I mean Conner....Jordan Senn is my candidate to take his place due to his excellent ST play

Any added or deleted from my list?

Let's see, where to start...

1) Clausen, Lafell, Edwards = Not going anywhere.

2) G Williams? Garry plays offense; Thomas, Jamar and Jason play D

3) Everette Brown... see #1

4) Sean Penn??? didn't know JR was in the movie business, although if that was the case I think he would make the team.

QUADRUPLE FAIL!

Get some sleep buddy...

Lafell looked good enough for a rookie WR with Clausen throwing to him.

Doc Brown ain't going anywhere.

I think Kasay may retire and we pick up a kicker in 5th or 6th round.

Brayton may be gone.

Mac Bernardeau should get cut.

Pike will get cut.

Jordan Senn isn't going anywhere, he was a beast on special teams.

Stanford and Pugh might both get cut.

CJ Wilson might get cut.

I think Landri will stay and if we get a BIG DT that can hold the line, he can be a good penetrating DT.

I think Jeff King's gone and we roll with Rosario and Barnidge.

Doubt Sutton gets cut.

Marshall won't get cut...might not be retained, but I still think he will be despite his feeling that he won't.

That Sean Penn thing was pretty freaking funny.

Alex Smith wouldn't be a bad signing as a veteran backup option. He's pretty much exactly the kind of player we need. I still think our real QB of the future will come in 2012, be it Luck (hopefully) or Matt Barkley from USC, who looks to be the next best option and a better one than any of the QB's available this year.

I do not want to be an ass, but you never EVER completely gut a position and have a completely new depth chart at a position. You simply need to keep some chemistry going otherwise you set yourself with a completely disjointed unit.

So anyone wanting 4 new Dts on the roster, you are likely living a pipe dream. For the record Neblett deserves another shot, he actually played quite well, in addition to Landri being a mediocre rotational guy.

Could be wrong, but IIRC didn't we basically do that after Jenkins left. Sign some FA scraps, draft a couple guys, throw em at the wall and see who sticks. Definitely not the ideal situation, but with a new staff coming in, who knows. I could see keeping Neblett though.

    • I was playing around with the ESPN playoff predictor and it shows if 49ers and Rams finish with same record, the Rams hold the tiebreaker.
    • This is my thinking as well. Seattle played as good as they could on defense and Panthers still had a chance until those back to back turnovers.  I don't think the Rams played particularly well in their game against us, alot things went our way in order to win.  Someone pointed out the Rams were bad on the east coast road games and Seattle has been the better road team but they just fought a hard contested game against the Panthers, and now they travel to San Fran this week for their biggest game of the season to determine the division and if they are the overall #1 seed in the NFC or will be traveling for the Wildcard weekend.  If they lose they then travel back cross the country to play a team they've just beaten two weeks ago, not saying they won't be favored against the Panthers but the energy of hosting our first playoff game in 10 years along with the get back effect of having just lost to this team could be huge.
    • I don’t know about shadowing and all that, but according to this, whatever we are doing is working
