Im sure he'll evaluate the talent and run a little of both. Don't think it would be out of question to see brown and norwood at DE and then stand up and drop back into coverage if he thinks we have the ability to do it. nothing wrong with mixing it up.

since we hired Ron Rivera as the head coach and he is known for his 3-4 D. how do you guys fill about the switch. Do we have the personnel?

He was the DC for the Bears the last time they went to the Superbowl, considering they pretty much rode the Defense to the Superbowl that year you could say that he's a better 4-3 coach then a 3-4 coach.

in 2005 his 4-3 allowed an average of 12 pts a game

in 2006 his 4-3 allowed an average of 15 pts a game.

his 2010 3-4 was better in yardage but allowed an average of 20 a game.

    • If you go to Canton and see the NFL HOF, you would think that the NFL has the revenue of women's professional soccer. Not joking.
    • IMO, UNC fans will be lusting after the Mack Brown 2.0 era after what BB likely does to them. The results are already in that vein. UNC has spent wildly on basketball and recruits for decades. More money is just "inflation" to an extent but I don't think a massive amount of cash is going to cure their ails. They have to get over this "UNC Family" sickness with basketball coaching hires and just simply hire the best candidates available. IMO, that really fixes the "problems" with the basketball side of things. Another sad truth that UNC fans I don't think have accepted is that it would take tremendously more money than they currently invest to become a relevant football school(something they have literally never been for any period of time). Not just money but the proper architecture. Ask Texass how that worked in the post Mack Brown era. Given the reported internal schism that led to the BB hiring(and current/future fiasco) this sounds very much like that fraught era of Texass football.
    • Smitty would be in the HOF, but Canton is a “weak ass city”
