For those upset we might not draft offense with #1...

It would be dumb to at this point. Rivera pretty much said what I have thought this season. 'But we had the 32nd ranked offense....waaaaaah'. Yeah we did and there was good reason.

First off we DO have an outstanding OLine....when healthy. This OL put up TWO 1000 yard rushers a year ago and gave the QB time to throw. We for a majority of the season had a makeshift line due to injuries and sometimes that happens. Name the best OL you think is out there, then yank up to 3 starters at one time for most of the season (esp both tackles) and honestly think about how they would do.

Next, we had a lot of youth at WR. These kids are learning on the fly. I personally thought they did pretty damn well all things considering.

Clausen. I have said he is nothing but hype, well I am right and wrong. I do believe Clausen was thrown in the deep end and there is no way in hell you can truely evaluate him. There is no way anyone can honestly draw any asumptions about the kid. Rookie QB, OLine beat to hell due to injuries, both top RB's out at some point and young WR's. Sorry but we MUST give this kid some more time and put him in a good position with some good help THEN evaluate the kid.

Coaching and system. The system ( if you want to call it that ) and the coaching (I wanna laugh when I say that word with the previous clowns) absolutely sucked.

Lastly, there is no talent in this draft on offense now that Luck went back, that is worth #1. You do NOT EVER take a WR #1. No way in hell. QB? We must give Clausen time, bring in a vet and let him run this while Clausen develops. We don't need RB's, a TE can be found later. We can upgrade Guard in Free agency or later in the draft. I think Defense will be the pick at #1 if we don't trade down which is my choice. Trade down and let Rivera have plenty of picks to build this team with.

When you're thrown into the deep end, you don't have to swim for your life, just float around long enough for someone to save you.

    • If Henderson just got a concussion and will possibly/probably now miss next week as well, gotta think missing 2 games of stats at this point of the year might knock him out as he was only just entering the discussion the last few weeks anyways.  Same goes for Judkins going down today too, and Dart's god awful game likely removes him from the conversation as well. It will be interesting to see how the voters compare T-Mac and Egbuka if they end up with stats that are nearly identical. Egbuka burst onto the scene and put up the bulk of his stats early in the year when Baker was playing like the MVP front runner.  While T-Mac was just more consistent throughout the course of the full season (ex. Egbuka has 8 games of 42 yards or less, T-Mac has 4 of them, while T-Mac still scored 3 TDs in those 4 games, where Egbuka only scored 1 TD in his 8). It would be a shame if they put too much weight on the final game of the season if that ends up being the division decider, as I think T-Mac has had the better SEASON while Egbuka had a better peak output during that first month or so but way cooled off since. Maybe Warren goes off in the last 3 games (they still play tomorrow), but it does seem to be down to T-Mac and Egbuka right now.
    • Mitchell Evan’s put a block on someone that he drove them all the way out of bounds and to the bench. He absolutely destroyed the guy. He’s gonna be a beast for us if he keeps that up.
    • Yall... stop taking a sample size and projecting a role player into a permanent starter cuz he had a decent year after what, 5? Come on
