Do you think Rivera will bring any players from SD over with him when FA begins(Assuming CBA gets done and we have a normal FA period). I remember Rex Ryan recruiting Bart Scott when he went to NY.

Here are some UFA's from SD

QB

Volek

WR

Floyd

VJax

Naane

TE

McMichael

DL

Jacques Cesaire

Travis Johnson

LB

Stephen Cooper

Kevin Burnett

Brandon Slier

FS

Weddle

Paul Oliver

Those names are not guys I think will improve our team in any way maybe just maybe V.Jax but beside that we are set at lb and safety. I have to check on those D.lineman maybe Travis is that guy from Texans let me look him up.

Cesaire is listed as a DE. Im not sure if he is a 3-4 type DE or not.

Its possible that he may push the Hurney to go after a Charger, like Volek. I assume he has some insight on watching him in practice on a regular basis. But I don't think any Offensive player would have a relationship with Rivera to put the panthers on top of their wish list. The D-players is a different story, Weddle was very positive about him; bottom line what might bring them to Carolina is not Ron, but the Benjamins.

    • Doubling tripling and quadrupling down on this subject in defense of the pick is reminiscent of a certain mindset that has overtaken the political world. This conversation will become less contentious and dragged out to the point of becoming a dead beaten horse if rational minds can simply agree that we made a mistake missed on a potential franchise center and we will learn from it. All this coping is unnecessary.
    • Here in lies the rub that the supporting posters continue to ignore. He wasn’t a 2nd round pick in the 2025 class, especially with an ACL tear. It was a dumb pick for any GM who looks ahead to determine values. C and CB were much better values than an injured RB in 2024. If a RB isn’t even playing much in 2024, you have to compare him to 2025. We’re beating a dead horse but only because the defense of the pick is almost comical at this point. We’ve made a ton of poo picks and moves/non trades while Morgan was GM and the assistant GM. It happens, we don’t have to jump through hoops to act like we just had some really bad luck. The 2025 draft class is unknown so far but damn it felt way better afterwards for the first time in a long time. Embrace the potential and stop stamping guaranteed on the box of poo of the 2018-2024 drafts. We are were we aware because of them and 2025 has to hit so we can get past the 7 win max in 7 year hurdle. Also, “flashed his talent” isn’t 9 carries for 22 yards. His one reception for 18 yards isn’t a flash with 11 other touches for 27 yards. He hasn’t proven anything. We have no idea if he’ll contribute in 2026.
    • Oh for those tired of the Mannings I have bad news, Peytons son Marshal already has college teams after him and he isn't even in HS until this fall...   I'd wager we have two Mannings in the NFL in 2030
