Why aren't we considering Da'Quan Bowers?

He's a great pass rusher.

He's similar to Pep in the run game. He has the speed to chase down weakside run plays.

Also very powerful and can rag doll quarterbacks and running backs.

Also very tall so he can be disruptive at the line for opposing quarterbacks.

He also has lots of experience playing inside. Imagine CJ and Hardy lining up to Bowers and a good FA DT. We would generate a hell of a pass rush on 3rd down.

So then, why aren't we considering him? He's much more of a physical freak than Fairley and his career production is better (not that either of them produced greatly before this season).

While he is talented we have Johnson and Hardy that is developing quite well. I see no need to add him because of this. Also this is why I doubt we will go after Green.

I for one, think taking a DE would be ridiculous considering the rest of our needs. We have Johnson and Hardy. What do we have a DT? Exactly....

The reason is that we got lucky and added some talent there recently.

Brown, Hardy, CJ, Brayton, Norwood. That is a group that many teams would love to have. With as many needs as we have we can not draft Bowers. PLUS the guy was not consistent. He did nothing his first 2 years at Clemson.

Exactly. Plus you just dont take WR's #1. From what I understand even with a CBA there won't be a rookie cap this year, it would start 2012. Hense all the talk about Luck should have come out this year while he could still get the big money.

Personally I don't see anyone in this draft worth paying what we would have to pay the #1 pick. I definately can't see JR paying a single WR top QB money and that is what he would have to pay him.

Oh I think we can. Will we get a Dallas/ vikings deal? Nope. Hell it won't be as much as if Luck had come out, but there will be a trade there and we need to take it.

If we got a good FA DT and traded down and took one in the first round, now we have a front 4 Rivera can work with. This team gets better immediately.

And Bowers only had 1 good season at the Collegiate Level. We have so many young DE's, that's like us drafting another Running Back. Theres no need for it

Just because we aren't talking about him here doesn't mean the team isn't.
