WASHINGTON -- The NFL players' union confirms it has filed a collusion claim against the league's owners.

The case has been filed with the same special master who is considering the union's complaint about the league's TV contracts.

While the owners are all meeting in Atlanta dealing with lockout issues, the players union decides to file charges instead of focusing on the CBA. Nice work, DeMaurice Smith, you douche. This action comes just 2 weeks after your last complaint that the owners unfairly negotiated a new TV contract with the networks.

Here's a thought, Smith. Why not try something productive instead of simply complaining and filing charges every time something doesn't go your way? Because you're a f****** lawyer, that's why.

Smith isn't interested in a resolution to this. He's doing his part at dismantling the NFL as an Organization. Not enough votes for his side of the political spectrum.

    • I mean, you've seen it two offseasons and drafts You can see it in the value ratings more in this draft than the last one. We had more to work with, but you could see the setup of this draft by the moves in free agency as clear as day also. No, BPA is not a myth.
    • Loosely related thoughts .. I really do feel for Icky but if he had been healthy no way we take Freeling.  I think the big extension he was in line for and was getting, would have been an overpay. So in a way this might be a break. Depending on Freeling working out.  If I were offered an even money bet on whether he returns to form or is a shadow of what he was, I am going with shadow. I just wouldn’t count on him for anything if it was going to cost market value. G, RT, whatever. To me, he needs to sign an incentive laden short term deal that doesn’t leave us on the hook if he can’t cut it. Go from there.    He caught a horrible bad break but at least got 17.5 mil as a consolation prize. Or 16.5 or whatever it is.
