Proehl interviews for wr coach

Well I can't help but get excited even if it is excitement based on my heart not head. I want him cause I loved him as a player. But I have no clue how he stacks up compared to other coaching candidates.

I would assume given that hes been here before as a player, has played in a number of superbowls, and was successful in understanding his role in both the offense and on the team that he would be a great hire and a good mentor/coach to our young WR core. Especially AE.

DAMN! Dip me in honey and throw me to the lesbians!

I went through the first five pages of this thread and everyone was in agreement. Has that ever happened here? I agree as well. And wouldn't mind Steve B. as a QB coach either. If he'd had a line in front of him he'd have the best stats of any QB we've had and would have lasted several more years as well. But bullfrogs and wings.

Proehl should be a good coach. His success relied mainly on his work ethic and studies, not his physical talent. Should be a great experience for guys like Gettis, LaFell, and AE who are raw talents. I wonder how he would teach Smith though. " Hey Smitty I'll coach these guys just do your thing".

it would be a great hire. he's been a player/coach/teacher for most of his career and has had qute a few WRs improve quite a bit from being exposed to him. torry holt was one of the guys who benefitted from his knowledge and mentorship. he was a coach on the field and on the sidelines. this is just a natural progression for him. he knows what it takes to succeed in the game and i have no doubt he'll continue to help other succeed the way he has holt, smith, and many others.
