Allen Bailey from The U

Will be the best player from this draft. Hes the best physical prospect from this draft with elite upside, more then Bowers, Fairley, Green anyone.

As a Miami fan I can say the coaching staff was a complete abomination and it is a joke he wasn't an All-American. Since the new Coach came in players have been talking non stop about how hard the first few workouts have been compared to what they endured under their old coach Randy Shammin which was a complete joke of a system from the workouts, to the filmroom, to the gameplan.

Miami players have a history of being studs in the NFL, Beason was under developed but has come in and been our best player. Sam Sheilds from the U went undrafted and got two interceptions and a forced fumple in the NFCCG today and its only his rookie season. I'm telling you Bailey has been extremely under developed at the U but with the staff we have in place he will develop into the best player from the draft and it won't take him long to be dominant. He also has no character concerns.

All the complaining about there being no true dominant number 1 players in this draft, Allen Bailey will be that guy and we will regret passing on him for a Fairley or Green. He will destroy the combine and at 6'4 290 with freakish speed for his size, he is a Justin Tuck type of player with the potential to be even more dominant as hes heavier then Tuck.

Hardy - Bailey - Fat Guy - CJ

While being coached by Rivera, McDermott and co. will have QBs TREMBLING!

I like allen and think he could possibly be a steal for somebody, as he has a alot of upside, but im not sure how he would fit in scheme wise for us. He's more of an 3-4 end than anything. I would be willing to try him at DT, but we'll see.

He's considered a late 1st early 2nd. He's kind of a tweener, good speed for a DT but lacks anchor, and good size as a DE but can he get to the QB against elite LTs? Solid potential, but its a stretch (and smells of homerism) to say he is guaranteed to be the best player in the draft.

So, what do you do to people around here who make guarantees that don't pan out?

    • No saying he mostly sucks is saying that he doesn’t suck the minority of the time.   Like if he took 17 tests and had a couple of really good showings and a handful of pretty good scores sprinkled in among the typical sub par results.   Like a golfer who went out and shot an 89.  There will be some real nice shots sprinkled in there but at the end of the day it is still 89.
    • It's worth mentioning... Game 1: Oct 11 in Raleigh. 4-3 OT win with a complete starting lineup. Game 2: Dec 13 in Philly. 4-3 SO win without Jaccob Slavin. Game 3: Dec 14 in Raleigh. 3-2 SO win with a complete starting lineup. Game 4: Apr 13 in Philly. 3-2 SO loss with the AHL roster.  Those early season games were no indication of the Canes team that finished the season. Miller and Ehlers were still trying to figure things out, Nikishin was still a work in progress and the Stankoven line was just another line. Make no mistake, the Canes team Philly will see is nothing close to what they saw at any point in the season. If the top line starts producing, Freddie stays hot and the blue line does what it does, this could be a sweep as well.
