Kendric Burney is from my home town. Been watching him since high school. He reminds me a lot of Gamble. He will need a few years to develop (like gamble did) But he definitely has the physical tools and instinct to be really good.

i honestly wouldnt mind Gabbert....but I would rather see what can come out of Free Agency first...see if we can pick up a QB or trade for one..I would much rather use that pick elsewhere.....or the better option would be trading down and trying to pick up more picks

Everyone is waiting for Newton and Mallett to be busts. I think Fairly is just a bust waiting to happen.

I know we could be wrong, obviously, but I see bust all over him too. Here is why:

1. History--A good season, nothing more

2. Character--dirty player and is stupid about it. How will he be with big money?

3. Statistics--Played against a lot of spread offenses--unblocked and read a lot.

4. Versatility--Little more that a 4-3 3-technique.

5. Performance--gap shooter. Can he play 2 gap? Take on a double team?

He is probably going to be great, but there is reason (as with all players) to wonder. He has been hyped a lot lately, for good reason. However, Hurney likes the "sure things" in the first, which explains his success and why we don't draft QBs in the first. Draft is deep at DT, and there are a few free agents who will be available.
