Meeks scheme was much simpler. I highly doubt it. With a shortened OTA and training camp due to possible CBA issues, I don't expect our defense to show the aspects he spoke about this year at all.

This is my concern as well.

a shortened training camp and offseason will have a HUGE impact on us. Learning a new scheme...bringing in new players....all takes time.

This is definitely a multi-year project unless a miracle happens with the CBA.

looks like all the pain and suffering we may have to sit through for a little while will pay off huge in the future. starting from scratch with fresh young(talented) players and new(talented) coaches has a slot of promise for this franchise.

all this goes back to reports of meeks not being a good communicator and fox taking back over the defense.

not sure who was the problem catching on either, but i do know of one big eared goon whose not known for being the brightest crayon in the box. who missed most of the offseason that first year. that might have been part of the issue. gamble and marshall aren't all that bright either.
