Someone please tell me how to pick a franchise QB?

fwiw, cat scratch reader has a couple articles on this. one talks about the 26-27-60 rule (at least 26 wonderlic, 27 starts, and 60% completions). another has the bill parcell's rule...

1. The quarterback must be a senior. . .because you need time and maturity to develop into a good professional quarterback
   
2. He must be a graduate. . .because you want somebody that takes their responsibilities seriously.
   
3. He must be a three-year starter. . .because you want to make sure his success wasn't a fluke and to know that he has been "the guy" for a significant period of time.
   
4. He must have 23 wins...because big numbers don't mean a whole lot if you don't win
   

guys in this draft that passed the 26-27-60 rule (of course minus the wonderlic) are Gabbert, Ponder, McElroy, Dalton.

the ones that passed the parcells rule are Kaepernick, Stanzi, and Dalton.

only one to pass both is dalton.

stanzi is insanely close to the 26-27-60 rule, since his completion % (they dont run much of a spread in Iowa) is 59.75, haha.
