Carolina Panthers 2011 Schedule

Man, we won't be that bad agian. I said we would be bad last year and we were, even worse than I thought by several games. This year if we can keep guys healthy and the OL plays better, I say we could win 6 or 7 games. The Cards, Lions, Jags, Texans, Titans, and Skins are all winnable. Tampa is better than the past few years, but they still aren't great. We could shock a team or two as well. My point being, this team will win more than 2, 3 or 4 games next year. Possibly only a few more, but coming off a 2 win season, 6 or 7 isn't too shabby.

OMG, I just thought of Clausen still at QB and facing Suh in the dome against the lions. If Jimmy is still starting he might want to have a "concussion" the week before.

this is where smart play calling comes in... Fox and company has never heard of a roll out or quick routes..

7-9 maybe?? We'll see after the draft.

I'll take that as a positive...

I guess I always go against the grain, but I think we will be a good deal better. Again, I thought we would go 7-9 last season and the 10-6 to 13-3 people mocking me. With a new staff, more stable QB situatuation, better OL play and hopefully full return of the M*A*S*H ward...this will be better than last season.

I agree with whoever said our toughest strength of schedule is due to our entire division having a winning record with the Saints and Falcons only losing a few games. You have to read through the statistics. This schedule is only marginally tougher than last season.

    • It’ll be interesting to see how the board falls I completely agree with you on TE for us The safety from Oregon would be the cherry on top for Evero’s defense/scheme.  If a OL’men is there that you love it would be very hard to pass up. This fan base seems to just see Walker as a stop gap but I wouldn’t be so sure. He’s the same age as Ekwonu. He’s had a much more impressive career arc/progression than Icky has. He’s the better pass protector. As far as I see it if Walker has a good year I’d bring him back over Icky. Ekwonu isn’t some elite franchise LT. Playing next to Lewis is going to be great for Walker much like it has been for Icky. We definitely need to get younger/cheaper on the OL though so for this reason alone it’s still top of my list come round 1 if board falls this way  Could also use another corner with Mike Jackson’s deal up after this season and needing a nickel but Corey Thornton looked really good in that role in the limited time we got to see him. However he’s coming off an achillies injury and you never know with those.  Then as mentioned above we do still have a need at WR. As far as “weapons” go it’s kind of a 2 man show with Tmac and Coker and neither is a burner. If Jordan Tyson is there at 19 and we can have a young WR group locked up for cheap that’s a huge advantage cap wise  And don’t forget linebacker. That clip in Devin’s Lloyd blueprint they used from Evero saying they need more intelligence there could’ve been left out for Wallace’s sake but it’s true. Wallace is lost in coverage. Pair a smart linebacker with Lloyd and that’s a group with Wallace and Cherelus being depth
    • The fact that this is even a discussion is a testament of the level of front office badassery that's going on.
    • Not always. LT was for the Giants. So was Ray Lewis. Von Miller was moreso than Manning his final year in the season that shall not be named. It's usually the QB, but not always.
