The best case scenario for this football team.

Awesomeness!!

Cam Newtowns stock plumets in the draft. Our FO now doesn't have to look crazy for skipping him. We draft Da'Quan Bowers, skipping the pile of junk known as Nike Fairley. How that guy is number 1 (or in the top 50) on anybodys draft board is beyond me. He takes plays off, isn't the brighest guy in the world, and an average player imo. I've seen him get manhandled. A few good plays throughout a season gets you JaMarcus Russel, not Warren Sapp.

Moving on, they don't allow players to become Free Agents, because of the CBA. Teams can sign there players only, and if the players refuse, only when a new CBA deal is reached can they sign with other teams. Trade however can be made. We trade D Will for help on the O line and/or draft picks. We pick up Terrence Toliver the big WR out of LSU.

A new CBA is not reached, and the entire 2011-2012 season has to be canceled. Roger Goodell is fired for his incompetence. A new CBA deal is reached. The 2012 draft, is basically a redo of the 2011 draft, going in the same order, meaning the Panthers once again get the first pick. Andrew Luck.

We win the next 15 Super Bowls, and retire the number 12 in the year 2027. Andrew Luck goes to the Hall in 2032, and the Carolina Panthers become "Americas team" in the process...

    • Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.
    • Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players
    • This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
