Cam Newton=Big Ben???

So, Cam Newton can't do anything but play QB? I thought his strength was that he could run all over everyone in the open field and was the best athlete in the draft...WR/TE/Split End things. Note the slashes.

His knocks are reading defenses and throwing accuracy...QB things.

Mav is right. BUT if Cam Newton had just a little bit better NC game he would have recorded the highest QB rating in the HISTORY of the NCAA. Instead he didn't even have the highest efficiency this year (Moore).

And although Cam Newton only had one good year it was arguably the best year at QB in NCAA history when you consider his passing and rushing numbers.

If his WR's could catch, he would have had the highest QB rating anyway.

It's pretty sad that so many want to judge Cam in such a negative light. The kid is a WINNER, nuff said. I hope we draft him. The pick we make this year will define us for many years to come. Whether that is good or bad no one will know until 2 to 5 yrs from then. I won't be disappointed in a DT or DE but really would like the Panthers to step away from their norm.

Note: Whats up with the "Witchhunt mentality against Cam?" I mean really? His "character Issues" pale in comparison to many. Many times when a person has those experiences in their life, especially at a young age, can learn from them and move forward and understand better what is right and wrong. I think he is now surrounding himself with more positive influences who are helping to guide him in the right direction.

Roethlisberger has 2 rings. Other "great QBs" have none. Just because you put up big passing yards in the regular season (then fold up in the dance when it counts) does not make you "great".

Yup.

Roethlisberger is not a great QB, and I really don't think that he ever will be.

Don't know about how he'll perform in the NFL, but I know one way he compares to Ben... boy can drink & party! Auburn boys got the main VIP room/stage (with a pole in the room, imagine!) at Opera (night club in Atlanta, GA).

My friends got a vip room at Opera that night (my bachelor party weekend) and ended up drinking with Cam Newton and a bunch of huge mofos in the team. Cool dudes.

There is nothing valuable to say from here to the combine.

I posted before that his workout was amazing but it wasn't going to change any minds. His footwork looks improved but he still takes too long to shift from his plant foot going forward.

Honestly no discussion of Cam will be meaningful until after the combine, so why try and have a serious discussion? Why not mess with you diehard Camboys because you take everything so serious.

You guys just keep going in circles and circles and circles so why not make some claim like banging drunk chicks isn't as bad as cheating on a test and watch you guys go apeshit.

It's like you guys work for him personally and can't allow anyone, serious or not, to say one bad word about him anywhere on the interwebz.
