He was basically a career AHLer that was just a goon on bad NHL teams.  He got super lucky becoming a meme on Twitter like 10+ years ago.

Eh... he's entertaining and knowledgeable. Which is miles better than most national NHL analysts. It's a low bar, but he's one of tge better ones.
