Maybe my eyes just filter that.  I engage with who I want to have a discussion with, I guess.

There was a time where the mods were always aware and knew when to put people in timeout or send the message “hey stop that poo” but there is NO ONE watching.

It’s not about reporting people. Its about recognizing when you see it.

You have to make sure they see it.  Help them help you.

Both sides can do better.

I report the physical threats I see in the game threads when things get heated. No im not gonna report the same 2-3 posters who derail every single thread, it seems the mods encourage that around here. Guess it’s all about post counts.

If you know it is a few bad apples, why not just ignore those people or block them?

It's not like a thread can only go one direction.  Talk with who you want to talk with?

That's what the report button is for.  To get their eyes on something.

Not excusing the mods not paying attention at all, but it works both ways.  Help them help you.

No. If this board was run right, I wouldn't have to report much of anything. And that's the point. It's hands off and not anyone's problem unless someone files a complaint. It's absurd.

Not to be a dick, but that's part of the problem.

There's a handful of mods, some are very pro-active to the point that people complain about them, others are not pro-active and people complain about that too. One thing that holds true is that nobody ever reports anything.

Why does it take reporting for the mods to notice anything? Are they not present? Are they not reading? Because if that's the case, they shouldn't be mods. Period.

I feel you have unreasonable expectations for mods that I assume are unpaid.

Is it really that hard to press a few buttons when you see something you don't like or is out of line?  It upset you enough to post this, yet you don't want to do the one thing that may actually help.

Unreasonable? If they take on the role, they ASKED for this. Is that not part of the gig? If you can't or won't do it, regardless of pay, then quit. It's that simple.
