Charlotte is on front page of every newspaper in the world now.  FBI and White House are now directly involved and actively investigating Charlotte's leadership.  

Mayor of Charlotte was told to resigned after she was sentimental to killer and asked local news to keep this murder on down low.  Once Trump directly called her out for failure, she begun blaming the court system which now makes her look even worse.

Residents of other states were advised not to travel to Charlotte for their safety.

How long before national guard arrives here?

The overall crime decrease is city wide, not uptown specifically. Crime is skyrocketing uptown.

This aged well (less than 2 weeks). Imagine fleeing Ukraine to get away from violence only to get preventable death at the hands of a "misunderstood victim". The whole city needs a purge.

Maybe this is a controversial take but I think Gen Z is a totally broken generation and this is the cause of some of the crime spikes. They grew up on social media and have a very skewed sense of world view and self. They had to spend several formative years during COVID isolated from people. They don't have the same amount of social capital in real world interactions as past generations which helps build internal confidence and maturity. It's a generation raise on tik tok reels, podcasts, and snapchat. They think their words don't matter because they've primarily interacted online and have no idea how to interact in the real world. 

Couple that with decreasing job prospects in a declining economy, and crime is going to spike nationwide.
