I wonder if Joe Douglas (former GM of the Jets) would be a good fit.

I agree, I think QB and LB. Maybe the next year more skill guys. He has said before he believes in building teams from the inside out.

I think Dan gets another year. Outside of rounds one and two of last year’s draft, he’s done some decent things. A roster as lacking in talent as ours cannot afford to whiff in the first two rounds. It seems like he learned something. I hope so, anyway

Like many have said, he apparently decided to go with PFF grades this year but you can't forget the XL and Jonathan Brooks moves his first draft and what he did as an assistant before.  I agree with the poster who said he is tied to Canales.  This last draft class looks to be very good so far and they were right and i was wrong about Tetairoa.

My only question is going forward with QB. We have a shot at Ty Simpson, Moore, Sellers or whoever.

As a franchise… and a fanbase are we ready to accept that our QB probably will struggle again next year. Cause Ward and Dart have been bad  as rookies. The year before Daniel’s played great… but Williams, Maye struggled as rookies  and we haven’t seen enough of Penix or JJ to really judge.

I do think it’s an awkward spot to put your GM/HC on a make it or break it year and then expect them to roll out with a rookie QB

I don’t know that it will be a rookie. Every year there are normally 1-2 above average vets on the market in FA. I think everyone has rookie fatigue with Bryce the last few years and Canales and Morgan will need results quickly. Wouldn’t be surprised if they went that route. Somebody like how Darnold has been the last few seasons. Now who that will be this year remains to be seen.

I don't get your point.  Bryce is in year three.  I would kill to trade Bryce for any of those quarterbacks you mentioned, even Williams.
