never logged a start

He was named the starter and was heir apparent to Beuerlein until his preseason collapse.

The way they were hyping the guy up at the time you'd have thought he was the next Montana or Young.

Teddy Bridgewater had three 1000 yard receivers that has never been done in Panthers history outside of that, he was better than any Qb on that list not named Newton, Delhomme, Collins, Beuerlein.

1.Newton - MVP, Superbowl 2015

2.Delhomme - Most successful tenure, Superbowl 2003, NFC championship loss 2005.

3.Collins - 2nd year starter led us to NFC Championship 1996.

4.Beuerlein - Best pure passer, single season leader in pass yards.

5.Bridgewater- Highest QB completion 69.1 % in franchise history for a season.

Id put Derick Anderson and Vinny t above Bryce. Anderson was good the first season he was here and Vinny t threw some absolute dimes and obliterated the cardinals at like 47 years old

Off the couch.

Played the way flacco is with the bengals. Just chuck it to the best guy. Smith 10 for 136 and a TD. I remember him having like 350 yards passing but it was only 206. So my point still stands, he cracked 200 yards he goes over Bryce.

We could probably pull someone off the couch to do what Bryce is doing plus add a couple more things to the playbook.
That was a crazy year.

I’ve never gotten Panther fans input but do you guys think that 96 team you had was good. I obviously would say the 2015 team was your best team ever.

96 Defense led league in sacks and lowest points allowed.

Offense wasn't spectacular but very balanced.

1 thousand yard back and Collins had 2 sure handed receivers along with all pro Wesley Walls at Tightend.

2015 had opportunistic defense, Norman, Davis, Kuechly, and crew strong run game with Cam and Stewart, underrated passing attack.

2003 was probably the best overall team, Steve Smith's and Musin Muhammad in their prime, Steven Davis plowing over people, and Julius Peppers and Kris Jenkins and crew dominating in the trenches.

And Morgan at MLB when he stayed healthy, was a beast. Something like 25 tackles in that Super Bowl I think.

I know the younger people are all about Cam and 2015 but that 2003 was my favorite year. It came out of nowhere which made it kind of magical.

    • Rico is 0%. I think we would really like to have Mays back but we have a value in mind and aren't willing to overspend. I think someone probably will so I think the odds are pretty low but not zero.
    • Damn I liked A'Shawn too. This is basically a heads up we're planning on cutting you move.  Robinson wasn't the best but I loved his attitude and effort on the field. He held that entire dline together when Brown went down iirc..granted we finished that season as the worst rushing defense in modern NFL history.  If Wharton would have performed up to atleast half of his salary last season, I'd feel a little better about it. We do need that cap space though.

They made the playoffs, but they're not yet knocking on the door. (Offense was 26th in EPA/play.) I think it's imperative they don't overestimate where they are in their build. They can't throw a ton of money around in FA to "make a run now". They need to be intentional about building a solid foundation. (IMO) And from what I know about the team... I think they will be. Sidenote: I have my eye on offense there, not defense. They HAVE to leave next season with a strong opinion on Bryce Young. They need to put pieces around him to do that. Can't be left wondering what he would have looked like with "better OL play" or "more pass catchers". They have to know. (That part is purely my opinion. No one told me that.) https://x.com/lindsay_rhodes/status/2027212533417869499?s=46&t=xeIgh_-Vr2aKxBkBJdfnKA
