Since it might of gotten lost in my last post. It's pretty simple.  Forget talent/ceiling, we are working w/ a really bad QB.  It's a trio that needs to get their snaps back. 

Renfrow, Tremayne and TE Evans > XL, Horn and Saunders. 

All are better operators in the area of the field where Bryce looks.  Tremayne better than XL.  Renfrow better than Horn.  Evans better than Saunders.  And the last 3 weeks we saw the shift to more talented dudes that aren't actually as good at the basics. 

but the change will be tiny.  So who really cares.  It might yield 1 more win on the season lol.

last 3 games - 122 pass yard/ game - 9 pts per game average

prior - 191 yards/game - 22 pts per game. 

and it's not just Renfrow.  It's a collective.  A trio. Renfrow, Tremayne, and Evans.  As their snaps went down or away for whatever reason....we have gotten worse.  All syncs up.  More XL.  More Horn. (and we really can talk about Saunders vs Evans).....is not going to help a bad QB out.   Talent and athleticism? Sure, we have trended more that way the last 3 weeks.  But the results don't lie.  Bryce can't make raw dudes better. 

I don't want to get better.  There is no Renfrow simping going on.  My boldest take coming into the season was he should be rostered ONLY over David Moore.  Literally no one else.   And now my take is simply, better route runners and dudes that do basics better for a really bad QB that can't throw downfield was working out better.  But the change isn't going to be much of one because Bryce is the QB. 

the Panther I was most excessively stanning for going into the season was the Gamecock.  XL.  Not Renfrow.  I started turning on that when he got tossed from his preseason game as the dude is clueless.  Now I want him benched.

In all seriousness, I do understand the use of Horn. He is a gadget guy and fits a very specific role as an athletic/quick playmaker. 

We do need that more with Bryce at QB to attempt to generate some extra yards.

Eh. Even if there is an attempt to back off the run and get Young more involved with passing, I don't think it will be successful.

It's more than just loading up the box, it's flooding the zone, and Young's "bread and butter" has been short, quick passes with the intent of getting the ball out quickly to avoid pressure and sacks.

To that extent, it has been successful, as he has only been sacked 14 times.

Now though, defenses don't have to defend every blade of grass. Clog up 10 yards around the line of scrimmage. The Panthers offense is unable to take advantage then.

Tmac Coker and Ladd would be an extremely great core for a competent qb. We were so close to being able to drop and average QB in and having a very very good offense. We will probably stick with turnover Fred next year and I won't watch. Just like I said I would stop watching until he fired Rhule and followed through
