The tide finally turns... Even Bryce nut huggers at PFF finally admit the obvious.

While we all know Bryce is cooked those same fans hated Darnold, Baker and Daniel Jones.

I was wrong on Bsket, didn’t want him. Right on Darnold. Wanted to keep him over trading up.
Wanted to pick up Jones last year but didn’t really have conviction, it was more wanting to get away from Bryce and thought he was worth the roster spot to see what he had. I thought he and Bryce could compete for the job.

How are you making this specifically about me? I didn't even interact with the OP in this thread. Hell, I honestly didn't even read the initial post. What have I done to be single out as the ruiner of all things Huddle? LOL

If you think it's ruined, leave.

I’ll answer your question even though you won’t answer mine for some reason. I’m asking you because you were the one who brought up the threat of banning with Icege a few weeks ago and also because I’ve seen in the past a poster that you were disagreeing with get banned basically mid argument and the reason given was that they were a “single issue poster”, but I haven’t seen the same standard applied to people who align more closely with your opinions. OP is one of the most obvious and trashy trolls I’ve seen and yet I’ve noticed you specifically promoting his dead threading to gloat about the Panthers QB being bad.

You're misreading this. I didn't threaten Icege with anything. I simply explained that the other mods had basically already voted him off the island and I was the holdout to give him another chance and now I'm throwing in the towel too. That isn't "threatening" that's offering transparency.

What am I doing to "promote" this other poster? Again, not sure how you've arrived at this conclusion that I'm the source of all to blame but it's kinda bizarre to be honest.

Listen man, I'm sorry Bryce didn't pan out. That sucks. It would've been a lot better for all of us if he did. I'm sorry that people post about the heavy investment at the most important position in the sport not panning out and that it bothers you immensely. I don't know how I'm the asshole here though. LOL

Just curious how many conversations you’ve had about banning op or is it just people whose opinions you generally disagree with like Icege. You seem more than happy to agree with trolling and dead threading when it aligns with your opinions. OPs post history is 10x worse than people you’ve banned or talked about banning.

On the topic of Bryce Young, heading into the season a lot of people wanted to see is Bryce Young the guy moving forward, or isn’t he? I think the question has been answered in that he is not. That’s actually worse for the Panthers than if he built on his performances at the end of last season and became the guy, but you wouldn’t know that by how some here are acting. Pretty well confirms that some on this board would rather be right about an opinion that would be bad for the team, than watch the team succeed. Weird how OP only shows up once a year after the QB and Panthers absolute worst performances…

Yeah it is worse for the team  that he isn’t the guy.
What would be even worse is him having a stretch like last year where it wasn’t definitive but fooled enough people and they committed even more money and years.

Maybe it is like learning your fiancé is unfaithful. Your heart is broken but at least you didn’t get married and then find out.

I feel a little like the friend that had to tell my pal his fiancé is no good.

You’re deflecting. I explained to you exactly why and what I’m asking you and all you still can’t answer the question. Is it your alt or something? Ok, so Icege gets voted off the island by everybody but you, you tell him out of the goodness of your heart. Fine, you’re the hero. Now, why would Icege and others be voted off the island and not OP?

I was explaining it to the forum as a whole, not him. He was already gone.

Why? Because Icege annoyed the poo out of us. He'd report tons of posts (like literally 90%+ of all reported posts came from him) while he was literally participating in the same behavior. So we got rid of him.

Who is claiming to be a QB savant? It was blatantly obvious Bryce didn't have the tools to be a high level starting NFL QB. What I was wrong about on Bryce was that he was actually a lot more limited than I even thought.

Before Bryce was limited. Sam Darnold was this Baker Mayfield was that, Daniel Jones doesn't belong on an NFL field, Mac Jones is nothing but Sam Howell hes got it hahaha

I was just surmising that the people with such staunch stances on Bryce early on before all the so called experts must be Savants. And then I remembered how those other QBs in listed have been talked about around here

I've said numerous times on here that I've never seen a prospect completely dupe the entire football world like Bryce did. Usually the NFL is brutal at devaluing prospects with less than ideal physical traits yet there were endless mental gymnastics performed to create reasons why it wouldn't matter with Bryce.

I don't think that makes me a "savant". I just think for whatever reason the entire NFL world got caught up in some type of mass group delusion. It was bizarre.

I’m convinced it’s the Alabama/ESPN ties. They won’t go too hard on a Bama QB ever anymore.

Don't get me wrong what im saying goes for both far sides of the Bryce coin. After the end of last year people calling Bryce a bust and people calling Bryce a franchise QB were both premature in my eyes. I was wait and see if the end of last year was a fluke or the future and now we know the truth

    • The answer is simple and there for anyone who has actually been realistically assessing the situation from the jump. So look you have to start at the beginning. Bryce Young in college made plays yes. But he also played for Alabama under the modern GOAT coach. And even there when they were destroying smaller schools ultimately Bryce Young did not establish a consistent and successful deep passing game. Between him Tua and Mac Jones he had a drastically inferior deep ball. Fast forward to the NFL. He's had some nice throws here and there virtually all of them have been within the intermediate range. But he has not at any point showcased an ability to consistently go deep let alone become one of the better QB's at it which should be expected for his draft slot. And even those games at the end of last year his best game was against Atlanta where he did most of his work with his legs and he actually had several rushing touchdowns in that stretch of games. All of which opened a door for me IMO to question the sustainability of it. We drafted him to be a passer. We need him to win as a passer and more often than not that is what is going to be required of him. Now here we are reaching the midway point of his third season and he is now at 39 or 40 games and there are people who supposedly have functioning brains that are acting as if Canales is the one intentionally eliminating half the field. Yes he deserves criticism for different things but come on. We said all these things about Frank Reich too. Once you get to coaching staff number two it's time to say okay if it looks like a duck quacks like a duck and walks like a duck. It's a motherfưcking duck alright? The worst thing the Panthers staff and FO can do is continue going around like Helen fưcking Keller acting as if acknowledging the elephant in the room which is the reality that Bryce Young is not a franchise QB and not the answer and never will be will end in the universe swallowing itself and ending humanity. Nut up swallow that lump in your throat and put one foot in front of the other.
    • Two nights ago the Canes were second behind NJD in points, tied in point percentage. Right now before the game they are still second behind NJD in points (a game behind) and ahead in point percentage. Tonight can make Canes the point leader in the Metro, which was my point. .;)
