Some context. Even on the best defenses linebackers and secondary have similar miss tackles. Do those numbers mean anything?

Seattle and Houston

Looking around the league it seems like Horns missed pct is significant but not sure the others stick out

I think the thing that sticks out is Horn vs. previous iterations of Horn. This is REALLY fuging high for him. He is not the most sure tackler historically but he has never been this bad.

I didn't go into that look at missed tackles expecting to see his name. My initial look was going to focus in on how we need to make a complete overhaul of the LB Corps this offseason. Then I saw Horn's total and his missed tackle percentage. That was shocking.

Boom has that Tre Boston kamikaze effort and result farr to much....

He is a special teams player. Rozebum is what you get when you are trying to get Frankie Luvu and it doesn't happen.

He is genuinely one of the worst LB's we have ever had.

shaq Thompson was begging to comeback even on a vet min

but they looked at rozebum and said "nah, we good"

Now he is in line to get an extension in Buffalo. I understand why we moved on but in hindsight we royally fuged that situation up. We made a massive downgrade.

Rozebum contract 1 year, 2.5 mil

Shaq contract 1 year, 1.255 mil

ill still take Shaq even with one achilles over rozebum. even if the original plan was for Jewell and Wallace to be our starters, we still didn't have any depth behind them besides special teamers. at the very least, Shaq was a locker room leader

I think Shaq was also one of the last few remnants from the Rivera locker room culture. TBH, he didn't fit for that reason alone. We have wanted to stamp out that stuff almost since day one.

I like Shaq but I'm not going to delude myself into believing he wouldn't be out there whiffing on tackles too. Is he an upgrade over Rozeboom? Yeah but at 31 he was never going to save this linebacker room.

Far more concerning than anything is Jaycee Horn at this point.

Between him and Bryce and the resources we have tied up in both of them the inability to perform at a high level against a rebuilding Saints team is just........

But what about The Leadership Council

Or what about the fact that Shaq has 4 missed tackles this season and a 7.4% missed tackle percentage versus the 16 and 14.2% that Rozebum is rocking?

In fact, Shaq would have the lowest missed tackle percentage of any ILB that has a minimum of 1 start on our roster.

I wish that actually contributed to anything meaningful for this franchise. Between The Leadership Council and Dave Canales confirming the bye week was a hindrance it's enough for complete apathy to set in for any fan. Too many highly paid players on this team for the lowly Saints with nothing to play for to look more motivated than our guys with the division and a playoff spot on the line for the first time in 8 years.

You’ve got to get to the ball to miss a tackle and I don’t know how much range Shaw even has anymore. It’s not like the bills defense is r a steaming pile.

like yeah Rozeboom is trash I’ve been shitting on him since day one and I’d like for someone to be on this team that I like.

Shaqs best game this year was Canales and his JO buddy didn’t change their audibles from the previous season

Shaq is a small piece on the Bills defense. Here he would have had significantly more responsibility which would have opened more opportunities for him to be exposed in the open field. You guys are hopped up on copium suggesting anything else.
