Yeah the carries were really meager a lot of times. 30 to 35 split relatively evenly gets him enough to get going. 
I think he sees himself as the bell cow, and is looking for 25 of the 35.

It wasnt just the split i dont think,  it was also Cannales swapping backs mid drive after 1 or 2 carries, he really wasnt letting either one get a rhythm going.

I have a feeling we were doing that at least in part because Rico is not as good a pass blocker as Chuba. IMO. 
 

He did not feel as valued as he needs to feel. I think. If that is it, I get that. 

At the same time,  think he is overrating himself wanting that bell cow role, because he wore down very noticeably from the cumulative effects.  And even towards the end of the games where he did wear the bell. Cramping, needed a blow, when it got late. 
 

PS we played 18 games this year. There is a breaking point. You gotta have two backs that can carry the run game alone, and use them in concert, to excel. IMO, again.
